Watching live I said out loud "Face mask!"

Watching the play slowed down on replay, it looks just barely like it and Rodgers certainly helps by acting a little bit. But still, the man's fingers brushed the face mask enough to move the helmet. No surprise there was a flag...

Can't bash the officiating on that call as much as some of you can.

He grazed the very lowest bar on facemask, barely. They saw his head snap because he had his shoulder, not his facemask. If you want to defend the refs and say "hey, he touched the facemask. Might not agree with the degree, but by definition...". Just don't try to defend it with "oh his head moved, yada yada yada". You are supposed to throw the flag when you actually SEE a penalty, not just think one MIGHT have occurred...

Yes, it was a ticky tack call. No, this wasn't a "Michael Jordan gets that call, but nobody else does" type of situation.

Nobody should be overly surprised at that call

He grazed the facemask with the fingernail of his thumb. Incidental contact with the facemask is NOT a penalty.

I'd like Rodgers a lot more if so many clueless people didn't try to say he's better than Brady. I respect him for what he is - a great QB (and seems to be a decent guy as well).

But great isn't a word that could be used to describe Tom Brady in over 10 years. He's transcended that in to a category all of his own

BS face mask call aside, Rodgers threw it 70 yards in the air and the Lions did what we expected the Lions to do--> Choke in the most spectacular fashion.

The facemask was iffy, but the refs failed to call a clear DPI on the play before that.
