My prediction is that Rex Ryan will be starting his "No really! The Jets are going to win the Super Bowl" campaign for the 2012 season in early January. They might get into the playoffs because the teams they are competing for the sixth seed with are losing too, but they won't get past round one especially if they face a team with an above average TE.

BTW, in their embarrassing loss today, Santonio Holmes taunted the Eagles players after scoring a TD and still down by nearly three TDs by mocking the Eagles' bird celebration. Considering their "justified" concern that when Stevie Johnson mocked Holmes' airplane celebration was a direct insult to 911 victims, I couldn't believe that Holmes would mock the plight of near extinction of the American Bald Eagle like that today.

I hear Gresh and Tanguay say the good news is that the Pats look to avoid the Jets in the playoffs at least until the AFC Championships if both go. I say the bad news is that if they do get into the playoffs, they will get blown out because they haven't beaten a good team since week 1.

With the exception of Dallas handing them a game, balanced out by todays blowout, the Jets have won against every team with a losing records and lost against every team with a winning record. They are the definition of average.

I may watch a replay of the Eagles vs Jets on NFL GamePass tonight so I can enjoy the simple pleasure of watching a Jets loss the same day the Patriots whooped the chosen TeJesuses.
