They mostly suck, and it's on purpose, as has been reported before. We don't need 5,345 repetitions of "he played well, everyone played well..." when the reporter is asking about a particular play or a specific player.

I don't believe coaches "owe" the media or fans detailed answers. Their job is to coach winning teams...nothing more, nothing less.

Who gives a crap about press conferences really? They have exactly NOTHING to do with football.

This should be a tradition. Every year, on the day the Jets are eliminated from their Guaranteed Super Bowl run, every Pats fan has green bean casserole for dinner. We might be able to get good recipes from the guys over at Gang Green.

Didn't you know? The Green Beans are better than EVERY other team and are GUARANTEED to reach the Super Bowl this season. The only problem is that they sometimes lose games, but Wrecks clarifies things afterward by explaining, "We're a better team than we showed today." So when they miss the playoffs and the GUARANTEED Super Bowl appearance, Wrecks again will say, "I honestly believed we would dominate this year. I still believe in our guys."

You can't argue with delusional idiocy. But in Wrecks' case, it's all shamelessly calculated to deceive a desperately naive fan base willing to shell out $$$ for Goofy Woody.

I was subjected to 10 weeks of "You Light Up My Life" being #1 on the Billboard charts and being played constantly when I was a young'un. After that, physical torture doesn't seem so bad.

According to Pro-football-reference.com, Steve Owen was the Giants coach for 23 years, but that was way back in the day. Coughlin's working on year 8 right now, which is how many Parcells was there for. Sherman was there for 9 in the 60's. Ewbanks got 11 out of the Jets.

It's a rarity, but it's happened in the past. I don't expect Ryan to get that many years with the Jets.

this is getting weirder than weird could ever be thought to be...for the past month, Wrecksie-poops has been taking Sanchez,Keller,Holmes and Plaxico out for ice cream on Thursday.....I mean...huhs???...what the F's??????? They leave team meetings to go out and just have a general bullshyt session eating banana splits and hot fudge sundaes while the rest of the coordinators and players go over game plans...WTF is next...trips to see the carnival and free autographs from the bearded lady? Cotton candy buffets at Ringling Bros. circus?
