This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.

....as if it's not comical enough that Jets fans only want to 'go' to the Superbowl, now their players only care about 'getting' to the big game.

Jets routed by Eagles, stay in playoff position - NYPOST.com

I've heard for 2 season that the Jets were one game away from the Superbowl,...but I often wonder if they realize they were 2 games away from a championship.

Newsflash: You have to WIN the AFC Championship game....and you have to WIN the Superbowl.

NYJ - Just happy to (almost) be there

“If we want to go to the Super Bowl, we’ve got to play a lot better than we did today,” said wide receiver Santonio Holmes.

Interesting that we have the jesters "cast-off S" (at least that is what they said 4 months ago); and yet they are complaining about not having a starting caliber safety. LOL.

Does bring up a point though; HOW MUCH OF THE POOR SAFETY PLAY IS DUE TO NFL RULES AND IS THEREFORE PANDEMIC AROUND LEAGUE or How much is really a talent question.

I'm beginning to think you are almost as over the top nutso about these green frauds as I am...I see EXACTLY what you mean....Vick should have cleaned his clock for insulting an innocent, endangered species like our NATIONAL SYMBOL, (to prove he's changed if nothing else)...

I do have to admit I get almost as much enjoyment out of a Jets blowout loss as I do with a Pats' win. Considering I am all Tebowed out, the Jets meltdown actually makes me happier today.

And the Beat goes on. Fatso speaks some more.

Rex Ryan says NY Jets have clearly been better than NY*Giants over last 2 seasons, can prove it on Christmas Eve* - NY Daily News

The morning after the Jets were throttled by the Eagles, Rex Ryan went into overdrive and hyped up this week’s game against the Giants. "I never came here to be little brother to anyone. So, it’s on….. There’s no way I’m going to be second fiddle.m."

I came here to win…. And to take over not just this city, even though it’s the city to take over, but also this league. I haven’t accomplished that yet. Saturday, I think, will go a long way (toward) doing that. We have to win this game. We have to get into the playoffs.”

"I haven't accomplished that yet">>>>

I?, when was the last time Rex threw a ball? If I were playing for this assclown, this would start getting old about now....

Look the Jets can't protect Dirty Sanchez, the Giants should eat him for lunch. And Eli is ten times a better QB than Sanchez. I can only hope that this serves to light a fire underneath the Giants and they put the wood to the Jets.

What was particuarly galling was to see Holmes showing off after catching a TD and mocking the Eagles (promptly drew a penalty).

Right before they scored, that idiot fumbled the ball once and in another instance let the ball thru his hands for an easy interception. Has he no sense of shame?

Worse, his team is down two scores and yet he wants to celebrate and mock the opponent.

What a moron!

Which city? East Rutherford, NJ?

Like Belichick's press conferences, Ryan's frequent pronouncements have become boring wastes of time. Since the league likes to micromanage everything, Goodell should make BB talk more, and Ryan talk less.

That was incredible! He did the Owens Eagle Fly, down 18 points, after having given the Iggles 14 of those points...

This honestly falls on the coach. Could you ever invision a Patriot, any Patriot doing that? Of course not. Look Gronk got flagged because he failed to look and see that their was a dejected Jet in the vicinity, if you watch him since, he gets into the endzone, looks both ways, and then spikes, Brady did it too yesterday. Obviously somebody got a talking too from his coach. Holmes is example 1473 of a guy with all the talent in the world, but not enough smarts to know what to do with it. He has already been run out ot Pittsburg, and from my schadenfrauden reading of the Jets forums this morning, they are pretty much done with him too.

BB's pressers are great. If you can be original, you'll get an interesting answer. If not, unlucky.

They mostly suck, and it's on purpose, as has been reported before. We don't need 5,345 repetitions of "he played well, everyone played well..." when the reporter is asking about a particular play or a specific player.

I'm at work listening to Francesa nail him on this, calling it "stupid" and "selfish" and saying it epitomizes the problem with the team. Yup yup and yup. And the fact that Holmes is a captain doesn't help.

Guess I should be listening to a Boston station after a big Pats win. But with both NY teams losing — there's something about misery and that Francesa accent that just go together nicely.

That's why they made him captain. He epitomizes the me-first, trash talking, finger pointing atmosphere that Rex Ryan apparently is trying to foster.

The Jets should have never resigned the guy. Rumor was that he told the Jets that he wouldn't resign if they brought back Braylon Edwards. Assuming Edwards didn't have the injury problems that he has had this year in San Fran, he would have been better for the Jets this year. And I think Edwards was way overrated while in NY.

Holmes is 57th in term of receiving yards (the Pats have 4 receivers with more yards - Welker, Gronk, Branch, and Hernandez) and 57th in receptions (the same 4 Pats receivers have more receptions). The only stat he is at the top of the league is TDs (9th), but that is because he is Sanchez's favorite target in the end zone. That is pretty pathetic for a team's primary WR especially for one of the highest paid WRs in the league.

There was a reason why the Steelers felt like they won the lottery when they only got a 5th rounder for Holmes.

The big problem with NY stations today is that both the Jets and Giants lost and they are spending too much time piling on the Giants and not the Jets. I hate the Giants, but despise the Jets.

Bump back to the first page, in the spirit of the holidays.

'Tis a great morning to be a Pats fan.

Go Giants, Go Bengals, Go Pats.
