Wouldn't an ice bath be cheaper?
Does BillB hedge bet and draft a TE in rounds-2/3 ?
Curran is one the best reporters in Boston and true professional. Maybe take a second to familiarize yourself with a person's work before you sheet all over them. Completely uncalled for and incredibly ignorant.
I have read his work many times, as I alluded to previously in a reply to another poster. Just in the last month he has been squarely in the camp of sensationalistic journalism based on speculation rather than fact, more than once. There was a time when journalists who wrote opinion articles disguised as reporting were ostracized; clearly this is not that time judging by how many people readily accept such reporting.
Yeah, but if you tried to get an ice bath to -300 degrees, you'd need a pick to get out. This is serious stuff...like seriously, negative 300 degrees.
You just have issues with reading comprehension. Nothing he wrote was sensationalist at all. In fact he was one of the few media people around Boston that did not speculate at all on Gronk but just laid out the facts about what went down last year.
If you don't mind let me know what you think after you've tried it. Definitely interesting.
I would appreciate if you remembered to pass all info to me. Thanks. I am still using epidural shots, 3 per year.
Yes, sir. I’m not expecting to see much of a hint of difference for a good month or so, but I will most certainly let you know how the experience was/is going. I will send you a private message, for sure.
In my situation, they were trying to use epidural shots to hold off on the surgery, but they just weren’t holding me long enough. They did seem to help for a month or so at a time, though. When I first herniated the disk in my lower back, the fluid from the inside of the disk was leaking and pressing on my sciatic nerve so badly that I couldn’t stand up for more than about 45-60 seconds at a time. After the surgery, I’m standing and walking again like I was prior to the injury, but the sciatica was only reduced by about 50%, so it’s still constant pain and numbness; but at least it’s more tolerable, now. I’m hoping to build up some strength and endurance, and more importantly—just get things moving a bit more.
Disagree completely. No one is better connected or less prone to sensationalism than Curran. If he’s putting it out there it is supported by more than one good source within the organization.
My thoughts and prayers are with you. Pain upsets your entire system and has such a negative effect on one's life. I have had 13 Epidural shots during the past 4 years, for me they seem to work. I am near ready to get them now. My plan is when they don't work then surgery.
Do you think the Butler benching contribute anything with Gronks indecision? Just a silly guess
I'd definitely try it if you poured about 50 gallons of Jameson's over the ice.
That's what I'd call a good soak.
Well doctor,. quite a blistering putdown. I must admit, all the years I've been a member here I can't seem to remember your highly educated input into the subject of Roger Goodell's numerous unsubstantiated claims, starting with his educational qualifications and continuing forward into a morass of misinformation, disinformation and outright prevarication. You are so quick to eviscerate a local sports media member I would think you'd have at least a tiny bit of acrimony for the worst piece of human excrement to desecrate any American sports construct in our nation's history. Odd....I'll be paying attention to you going forward.
So you say you do not have issues with reading comprehension but a doctor says otherwise?
Don't let it get to you. Screw that uppity tarnished silver spoon slapping yapper head. English doctor? What the f*** is that anyway?
"I'm a doctor"
"Oh so you cure ailed patients.....or advance medical science in search of new cures..?"
"Oh so you're a doctor of science searching for the next major breakthrough that could change life as we know it?"
"No I'm a..."
"Doctor of Law who fights to maintain the critical balance between society and its governance...?"
"No I'm a doctor of English"
"A doctor of English?"
"So you ....uh..... go around correcting grammar errors and spelling mistakes?"
"Yes that's what I do as well as read Shakespeare and Mark Twain from time to time" "On occasion I like to criticize sport journalists"
"Well you could of been a real doctor"
"Could HAVE and NOT could of!"
"Well I guess I should of said could have" "Thanks Doc"
Wow man. Hope it helps you.
You're too kind to Goodell. My opinion on him is that he richly deserves to be investigated for collusion by the FBI for fixing multiple games over the past few years. I'm fairly certain I have posted what I think of Goodell on here before; but the short version is, he deserves to be in prison for a long time.
Thanks, bud. Things can always be much worse, but it would be nice to try out this technology and see if it helps at all. I appreciate the thought, man.
Curran never wrote an article in which he speculated about Gronk retiring or continuing his career. He wrote a piece that gave context to where the thoughts about retirement are coming from and pointed out that the team has to take this situation seriously. Also, most of what he wrote about the Guerrero/Patriots angle has been indepedently verified by Mark Daniels from the PJ:
Curran has been covering the team for over 20 years and has an outstanding record doing so. But of course because some news just dont fit your personal view of the world he must have started to make **** up and conspire with other journalists to report the same lies.
Congrats on that cute PhD in English. But maybe you should consider not framing your entire answer around the assumption that his is in any way impressive. Especially because there are enough people posting here who have real degrees in fields that actually matter.
Ethics in journalism has always been much more myth than reality.
