The answer to whether Sanu was worth a 2nd round pick? That's a softball question within NFL Fandom. If he lights it up then he was a classic BB steal. If he sucks then he is BB the GM killing BB the head coach.

Last years Sanu was linked with Patriots many times, some said BB liked this guy. BB wanted a versatile and healthy WR and he's got him. Sanu played almost every game in Atlanta,he is experienced and not injury prone player. I know many folks on this board expected a spectacular trade giving us a superstar ( especially with a friendly cap situation ). But hold on. We do not need a superstar WR who can complicate our salary cap situation,we need a productive and healthy 2/3 WR. I believe Sanu is the man.

In years past, I would have complained that the Patriots paid too much for Sanu.

This year is a different thing, a different mindset. Looking five years down the road on a potential 2nd round pick isn't nearly as important as winning a championship this year. I'll be here 5 years from now, but Brady won't. And Belichick probably won't either. And I'm ok with that.

He’ll help. He’s tough, durable, with a big catch radius who can dominate smaller DBs, and who was probably underutilized in Atlanta with Julio Jones.

Sounds a lot like Harris, though.

This still doesn’t address our biggest need on offense—speed on the edge.

Bill not going after it in the draft is telling. I’m not going to mention Terry McLaurin.
