The Pats have 6 actual NFL CBs. I think that is all their is too it. I would try to slip Coleman through waviers as things stand as the upside for Roberts and J Jones is too big. That or you trade Ryan for a player or pick.

Agree but Coleman won't last. I'm also not sure if he has hit the ceiling.

Strongly against losing Ryan. I've always been a fan and as shaky as he can be, he shut down both Hopkins and Demaryius Thomas at a time when nobody was. I doubt Butler could have done any better. We have all seen how a secondary can go from great to garbage from the play of one guy quick.

CBs are fragile enough and sought-after enough that 6 actual NFL CBs in June is precisely where I want to be.

Roberts was looking that way last year, until he broke his arm. Iirc, he was a late round guy rather than UDFA, which to me isn't all that much of a difference.

In any case, he was flashing some signs of serious playmaking ability throughout camp and during preseason. I look forward to seeing how he does this year.

So now Lewis can't start the year on the PUP right? Well just have to hope he is healthy come playoff time.

Unless something has changed and I missed it, OTAs have no bearing on the PUP list. A player gets put on the PUP list for TC if they fail to pass the physical or the training runs. It is only once they practice during TC that they can no longer be put on the PUP list.
