I can't help you. You don't understand that what you saw was a delay.
We both know that it wasn’t, which is why you want to create a definition.

What delay was there between the parts of the foot landing? What created the delay?
Why was this different than every other step humans have taken?

So I’m not alone. We’re like Jews in Saudi Arabia.
Maye is going to need a good deal of time to get better at being an NFL caliber QB.

I like a lot of things about him, but fast processing and decision making really trump all other skills for me as defenders at this level are incredibly athletic and you have to be a step ahead.

If you have a competent line, then its exponentially easier to make the right play. When youre running for your life, not so much, and it can stunt growth or even derail a career completely.

If we end up with the top choice in the 25 draft, I would seriously consider trading down multiple times in an attempt to stack talent. I might be swayed to take Hunter though as youre getting 2 players in one.

I can't say I enjoy watching bad QB play especially when you sit a much better QB on the bench for reasons that have proven to be false reasons historically.

I'm not so sure a wild card was unattainable. If Maye started and played better than Jacoby, not a stretch, they are currently 3-2 with the hardest part of their schedule behind them.
Would they win in the playoffs, very unlikely as the roster is not good BUT there are only a few good teams. Who we got left that you would consider a playoff contender? Bills and Texans for sure and then some maybe, maybe nots at best in Bears and Cardinals.

Also, you want to see the coaching be creative, have a good game plan etc. since they are all new in their rolls, but it's been lacking a bit. Though I thought the defensive game plan was so much better yesterday than it was the previous 2 weeks.
AVP is looking like a "games past him by" retread so far though admittedly he can't run his whole offense with the issues they have,

Basically, you want to see hope they are going in the right direction, you can't say Maye has looked like he belongs and get excited by that because they don't play him.
Next year's draft is much weaker than this past draft, it seems at this point, so hard to get excited about a top pick there. Not sure much difference between 15 and 3. Just want some excitement for the future and so far they are not giving you much hope it's going in the right direction and since they are going to play Maye at least by the second half of the year he will play them out of the top 5 pick anyways.
Of course I can't wait to see Maye play. But I don't want him getting lit up behind this OL until they develop some level of pass protection competence, and they're nowhere near that yet. What if he goes in next week and gets injured because this line couldn't protect against the Fins D which is not a great one and they're going up against a good Houston pass rush. They need time to figure out stuff before we put Maye in there. I see some development of the new WRs so I'm encouraged that we can have targets for him to throw to if he's not running for his life or picking his butt off the turf after yet another sack.

I don't think we had a shot at the Wild Card once the injuries started piling up. I'd like to see more from the coaching, but they're firefighting right now I'd reckon. I'll give them a season to see what they can do and look for improvement and better execution. I too liked the defensive game plan, they were simply on the field too long. As to the draft, we need to draft line players on the offense and defense and several of them being at or near the top of every round is a huge benefit. Plus there's always a team desperate for a QB who will be willing to pay for it so could be a great way to restock.

Wait, so if he had dragged his foot out of bounds by the toe, that would have been a catch, but putting your foot down after touching with your your and having the heel out of bounds is not a catch? What a stupid ****ing rule
That is what it sounds like
Just quoted a NFL spokesperson
Yes it is stupid

Can’t even say our kicking game was good this week

Honestly one of the worst pat’s games I’ve ever watched
Why?

Ryland went 3-4 in FG attempts including the game winner?

Hold on a second.

What?

Sorry, I just learned that Chad Ryland did that for the Cardinals.

My bad.

Are we tanking on purpose? Perhaps Mayo thinks we need one more top 1st rounder.

Watch, in a few weeks Maye will get a start and the offensive line won’t look half as bad. Part of a QB’s job is to manipulate the pocket, read the defense, sense the pressure and move accordingly. Maye is missing out on some valuable playing experience.
He sure isn't learning anything watching this **** show from the sideline.

I can't ****in believe it. English is not my first language but still understand difference between step, tap, drag... and it looks like some of you don't.

Toe tap is exactly this... tap, touch the ground and lift the toe. In this case, if Polk lift his foot of the ground before landed on heel or but, it will be toe tap and catch.
If he dragged his toe out of the bounce before his heel hit the ground... it will be toe drag and catch.
In all other cases, and this was yesterday, we are talking about normal step motion, and that means if any part of the foot is out of the bounce, it will be not be catch.
This should be really simple to understand, I guess.

And, this was from last year, exactly same situation

Leaning towards Travis Hunter here.
I like Hunter as well. Largely because of the bang for your buck. Two positions being played at a high level. Incredible value.
