I’m hoping against hope that Brady winds up with another team, for no other reason then it would be awesome to watch. Him returning to Tampa Bay is an okay silver lining. Obviously returning to NE is the supreme scenario, but it isn’t going to happen.
I’m still pissed the Bucs spent a second round pick on Trask (!) and spent all that money on Barrett. As a very clear contrast, the Rams (Miller) and Chargers (Mack) have spent second round picks for game changing pass rushers (especially Mack.) Just because a player isn’t publicly being dangled doesn’t mean an aggressive, win-now team can’t put together a proposal. If Brady does return to Tampa, I hope they’ll be more aggressive to win now. Teams are simply making a mockery of the salary cap and the rich are able to get richer during this increased cap year and these creative contracts.
