OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

I’m hoping against hope that Brady winds up with another team, for no other reason then it would be awesome to watch. Him returning to Tampa Bay is an okay silver lining. Obviously returning to NE is the supreme scenario, but it isn’t going to happen.

I’m still pissed the Bucs spent a second round pick on Trask (!) and spent all that money on Barrett. As a very clear contrast, the Rams (Miller) and Chargers (Mack) have spent second round picks for game changing pass rushers (especially Mack.) Just because a player isn’t publicly being dangled doesn’t mean an aggressive, win-now team can’t put together a proposal. If Brady does return to Tampa, I hope they’ll be more aggressive to win now. Teams are simply making a mockery of the salary cap and the rich are able to get richer during this increased cap year and these creative contracts.
The best before date has passed for Tampa.

They didn't have a vision for 2021 other than bringing everyone back. Other than wasting the 2nd round pick, they also could have gone for Miller. Imagine if Miller was playing for the Bucs instead in the playoff game against the Ram. Bucs got complacent and weren't all in anymore. JPP was badly injured all year. Tryon hit a rookie wall, and Bus stood still.

Hindsight is 20/20 but they probably should have treated Brown like a diva, such as paying him his guarantees. He is right that he was being paid chump change for his talents. It was already playoffs and you need to do stuff like that to be all in.

Brady’s problem is Arians and the Glazers obviously chose him over Brady. Which is odd for a 70 year old coach who’s been there for 3 years. He isn’t exactly Sean McVay.

Players win games, not coaches. Another example of that was when Brady brought the Bucs back against the Rams last year only to have a coach blow it at the end. Brady may not have won it in OT but the smart money says that he would have.

SF, Miami, Pittsburgh.....

Probably the 3 most interesting "possible" scenarios.
I too hope against hope that TFB plays again.
SF - ideal for this fan. No hatred of team. Bonus: watch Brady pants Rogers again & again.
TB - convenient to watch games near Tampa for the winter but I think team & coaches will be hot mess in 2022. Easy division. No playoff success. I think Tom anticipates this and has decided not to waste a year on a team not built for the SB, just like NEP was his last season.
MIA- would be hard to take as MIA is a rival. Might get to see games while in Tampa TV area over the winter.
PIT: NFW could not deal with this as everything Squealers is anathema to me. Stay retired Tommy Boy.

Brady didn’t do squat against the rams until they started turning the ball over. My goodness.

NE. Won’t happen though unless BB quits. Mac would also have to be traded.

The rams were dominating the game 27-6 until they started to fumble
Any other QB and the Bucs are blown out of their own stadium. They were one defensive breakdown from one of the all time greatest comebacks in sports.

Plenty of QBs would have taken advantage of 4 Rams fumbles. Sorry Bucs don’t get credit for not showing up for 3 quarters and relying on rams mistakes to get them back in the game

Of course, of course. Lol. You only post about Brady to discredit him or throw in laugh emojis if someone shows any support for him. Dont you think everyone notices Mr. Parker?

And Rams players mistakes didnt happen in a vaccum. There was another team with players that contributed to them making them

Those other QBs possibly, maybe, hopefully, could have done it. The difference with Brady? He actually did it. No coulda maybe possibly probably with him. He did it. 2 historic comebacks. One was a SB win and the other was a defensive breakdown away from knocking off the soon to be champs. Football is also a 60 minute game last I checked.

Ok, Brady's defense gets credit for the comeback....

BTW, who's fault was Tommy's strip sack?
