Surprised (but maybe I shouldn't be) to see a thread ostensibly about the NBA/GSW descend into a ridiculous compilation of revisionist history about the Patriots' injury situation in SB XLII.
Here is the injury report from the Friday afternoon before the game:

Super Bowl XLII Injury Report - 2/1/2008
I see 4 Giants, 2 of whom were very significant contributors to the SB win not even practicing two days before the SB. On the other hand, only TB is listed for the Patriots, as a full practice participant with his usual mock "right shoulder" injury. No sign of a high ankle sprain or any practice limitations on this report.
Yet somehow it was the
Patriots who weren't at full strength going in the SB? And somehow it is the health of
Stephen Neal that is the difference between a 19-0 all-time juggernaut and an 18-1 historical footnote? SMH.
