OT: Golden State Warriors Sputtering Toward the End

They still have to win it all for it to really matter. Still a great accomplishment though.

Unfortunately, how Golden State performs in the playoffs will determine how they are remembered. The Seattle Mariners team that set the MLB record for regular season wins is just a footnote because they didn't win a championship. I had to look up when that was (2001) and when they lost (ALCS, 5 games.) GS has to at least make it to the NBA finals and make a series out of it to avoid people having to look up what the accomplished in the future.

GS won the title last year. They are championship- proven. If they go down it'll be because they were tired or had a bad matchup and not because they weren't ready for primetime.

Those Mariners teams wilted under the playoff pressure and to the Yankees that year.

Or because SA rose to the occasion. SA is also championship proven.

Exactly. If GS goes down to SA in 7, it would be a tough loss but hardly an embarrassment for GS.

It would be a collapse for the ages if GSW didn't go back to back. They are significantly better than the rest of the NBA and most importantly, they appear healthy (unlike the 2007 Pats).

This is news to me. Who was injured for the Pats?

And, how do you figure GS is "significantly better" than the Spurs?

They are not significantly better than the Spurs, at least not enough to call losing to them a collapse.

The list has been done about half a million times, and it starts with Brady's high ankle sprain.

This is where you will claim to know that Brady's injury was significant? Brady looked fine in that game when he had more than a second to throw. The 75 yard toss to Moss was not the work of a hobbled player.

Who else? Neal? Looking at the box score, looks like all the big names are accounted for. Absolutely pathetic to use injuries as an excuse in that game. AFCCG 2013, yes. SB 42, no.

Everyone knows Brady's injury was significant, so you're obviously just trolling, and embarrassing yourself in the process.

Spurs have 65 wins and #1 scoring D in the NBA.

GS is a superior team but it would not be a huge upset if SA knocked them off.

Nobody but Tom Brady "knows" how severe his injury was and how it impacted him. I don't believe he has weighed in other than to say that it was "fine." Care to share how you "know" this information. Because I watched the game and he looked fine:

Edit: Would love to see how this act of yours plays in real life--you know, on those rare occasions when you stray from Mom and Dad's basement.

Injury excuses are for losers. Final results are for winners. Lets not be that fanbase please.

Spurs are historically good this year but are just being overshadowed by the Warriors being in contention for greatest ever. If not the Warriors, the Spurs would realistically being looking at a 69-70 win season.

Just the fashion for the winter of 2008, apparently, in the mind of the trolling Letekro.

Im trolling or Brady and BB were trolling by having Tom walk around the media center of the world with a giant walking boot on? You should post less and think more.

As per @Deus Irae's comment to you, it has been done to death. Stephen Neal immediately springs to mind.

The Warriors are looking at breaking the all time NBA record of 72 wins. 72-9 vs. 65-16 and a 3-1 H2H with one blow out win and another should have been blow out win before they started coasting in the fourth quarter.

I'm a huge wrap for the Spurs but they simply aren't athletic enough to defend Curry 1 on 1 and if they do switch, that opens up Thompson or Green (who I believe makes them go) to make the play. It's wonderful to watch them play.

Keep on trolling. It's all you've got.

You have Deuche Iraes word on Brady and an injury to a slightly above average guard. That is a long way from an injured football team.

At times, @Deus Irae and I butt heads because I'm sure we can both be annoying but he's a quality poster. Also, a quick google search will point you to some of the injuries sustained or carried into 42 by the Patriots.

Seeing as you don't really offer anything to the board, I think it's time to put you where you deserve to be; on ignore.
