Edelman & Hightower returning, 3 top 70 draft picks & no cap troubles next year. Are they going to ban the pats from the league?

410 yards per game & 29 PPG without Edelman still amazes me. This offense probably would have been top 5 all time with him.

Just spitballing here...what if the Pats started practicing in an indoor facility where they lowered the oxygen...making the normal gameday air extra full of oxygen-y goodness.

I'm sure the idea is nonsense on stilts for a hundred reasons but it was in my head.

Dont think it is nonsense.

Isnt this what playing in Denver essentially ends up being ? The entire season is a high altitude training camp and when they go on the road they should have a conditioning advantage ?

And its not just Jules. This offense currently plays without all top 3 WRs from last year that were supposed to carry this team and were big part of preseason preparations. Yesterday also without starting center and RT. Its just amazing.

Also let's not sleep on some other guys coming back from injuries/developing that could further improve 2018 roster picture like Rivers, Garcia, Langi, D.Jones, Travis, C.Hollister, R.Lewis, also Jelks and K.Davis (they're not keeping them for nothing on IR) and of course Mitchell, Valentine in case they can't return this yr (window closing)..

During this 6 game stretch...

I'm saying they take care of business against crappy offenses.

That is a reasonable statement to make

Tampa Bay, with Winston, put up 29 on Chicago, 17 on Minnesota (3 more than on New England) and 26 on the Giants...Winston was throwing for 300 a game (even against Minnesota, which is being touted as the best D in the league)...so there was nothing "crappy" about that offense.

The Chargers are averaging 22 points a game - middle of the pack. They got 13 on New England.

In fact, all of the teams but the Jets middling, but not crappy. Just give credit where credit is due. Since Tampa Bay, the defensive communication has improved, and even losing arguably the best player on D hasn't slowed their improvement.

The offenses they'll face in their last six, other than Pittsburgh, are WORSE than those they've faced in their first six.

Right now, other than New England, the only elite offenses in the league are Philly, NO, and Pitt (still not sold on the Rams at all). We've seen 1, and held them to 20 points.

yep. that's the reason i listed the other guys..

they kept over half of their E/R/FAs last year so Id expect some half of this guys to find their ways back..

btw - last year's E/R/FA list was stronger

I wish you would stop saying that because it hurts. Damn Damn damn.

I'm sure the idea is nonsense on stilts for a hundred reasons but it was in my head.

I read in a livestrong article that it has to be a 24 hours a day type of thing. 6 hours a day doesn't force the acclimation. I'll try to find it.

In case others are interested in the idea that Lewis and White might have different skill sets:

Bill Belichick compares Dion Lewis to Danny Woodhead, James White to Shane Vereen

There was no argument about different skill sets, so you can stop trying to kill that straw man anytime.

As I've said before (and before includes times that have nothing to do with this thread):

Gillislee - Blount replacement
White - 3dRB
Lewis - Best overall RB
Burkhead - Swiss Army RB, should be getting more slot WR work

You jumped into a discussion either without bothering to actually read what had come before, or without bothering to actually think before posting your version of War and Peace.
