This is a very convenient take since opi were legit, fumble was caused by Bills D, and Allen had a couple of other TDs if he doesn't overthrow open guys.

Bills played tough. Both teams made mistakes. NEP were better.

It wouldn't be an NFL game without some inept officiating. "Roger's doing a great job". If only technology had advanced in the last 10-20 years...

Everyone blames Sanu but on replay, the overhead shot showed that if Harry cuts right instead of following Sanu, there is a hole where he picks up the yard.

I'm not even referring to what happened.

From the 40 a team only has to move the ball 30 yards for a FG. Why even give them a chance for that?

I'll flip the situation. With a strong offense and an average D I go for it. But this was a defensive, field position game.

He made some good catches last year.

I not sure Dorsett specializes in anything is my point.

Most of us are very thankful. How could we not be?

I've hated this idiotic 4 team division setup from the start. At the beginning it really looked like they were trying to set up PEDton Manning in an all-expansion team division. It worked as far as getting him to the playoffs but his 9 one-and-dones spoiled that move.

Btw, only one person saw the potential of Brady before anyone else. Unfortunately, that person, Pats QB coach Dick Rehbein, passed away before Brady's first season as a starter. He said that everyone would know Brady's name and he was right.

In 45 seconds? With our D? Look, it’s not a 100% certainty, but the odds are in our favor. I wouldn’t lose that over an outlier going forward. It’s a question of probability.

Plus Buffalo was getting the ball at the beginning of the 2nd half. If the Pats would have been getting the ball id be more inclined not to take the gamble.

Great point about the AFC South. That most definitely WAS Madison Ave trying to create a marketable GOAT (sometimes life doesn’t go by script, does it?).

Miami should been in that division with Indy in ours. But wow. Can you imagine 3 games per year of Brady-Manning????!!!

I know Burkheads mom would’ve loved it.

That fumble was a big deal in that first half. Yes, he made up for it later on, but that turned a FAIL (and Detention) into a solid B-.

I think going for it on 4th and 1 was the smart play and created the highest probability of improving Pats win chances.

Options and likely outcomes of going for it on 4th and 1 with 36 seconds left (Pats had 2 TO's, Bills had 1)

Based on down and distance and how well the Pats were playing on offense I thought they had about a 55% chance of making the 1st down.

    Pats - make 1st down and make a FG - 50%
    Pats - make 1st down and score a TD - 20%
Pats - do not make 1st down and hold Bills to no points - 75%
Pats - do not make 1st down and Bills score a FG - 20%
Pats - do not make 1st down and Bills score a TD - 5%

The least likely scenario was the Bills stopping them and going on to score a TD. If the Pats offense had been struggling like it had in the 1st Bills match up I would absolutely have been for punting but that was not the case in this game.

I don't have an issue with you turning off the TV. I don't have an issue with you putting people on ignore.

I do have an issue with you thinking the game was predictable. I think that what made that game so good, from a view perspective (and neutral viewers seem to have loved the game) was the lack of predictability in that game.

Especially since he turned the game off EARLY in the 1st half. Buffalo was in the game and there was a long way to go.

In case someone doesn't realize it, the Pats have had the best record in the AFCE for 19 straight seasons starting when Brady first came in. The only reason they didn't win it for two years (02, 08) was because of tie-breakers.

The Pats coaches need to do a better job teaching the pick play. The offensive players don't seem to know how to handle it. All they need to do is redirect the defender, not block him.

Was I the only one yelling "watch it!" to Burkhead just before he had the ball knocked out? I could see that one coming.

    Why aren't Brady's playoff TD's counted when "they" talk about all-time TD's?

If I've said it once I've said it a hundred times. We've been blessed with the perfect storm of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.

I never said they should have kicked the XP. I'm not getting how people are thinking I am saying they should go for the kick.

    I'm talking about the penalty.

Holy cow! This is exactly my point. You're telling the Bills, "Hey, we're going to pass the ball!" You're telling me there's no advantage to keeping them guessing between pass and run???

What’s great about having such a credible reporter like Reiss is that when he says something like this you know it’s true.

And I think that’s a really interesting insight that the coaching staff went all in, including McDaniels publicly saying he would make an effort to focus on Harry, to say essentially, your time is now. The fact that Harry has responded so well is a GREAT development for this team.
