So... I went back and looked at the NFL's replay of the TD pass to Dawkins.
I will admit to not being a rules EXPERT, but Dawkins was lined up next to the OG in an INELIGIBLE position. He's INSIDE the 5 person box. He shouldn't have been eligible based on what I'm reading in the rules regardless of his reporting as eligible.

(bottom of page 18, top of page 19).
You are reading it wrong. It says a player with an eligible number reporting as ineligible cannot be within the 5 person box not that an ineligible number reporting as eligible cannot

Here is how I see this game. Not yet, son.....

Tonight was the first time where I almost believed that we can pull of a miracle championship without AB. Much more difficult than it needs to be but if it’s flawless they could do it. Still a hell of a task but I wouldn’t put it past Brady. How could you?
They’ve won 6 titles without AB. Nice job getting that flame going though.

Huh? In that scenario if they took one they lose 24-23. explain under what circumstances that would have been an idiotic decision.

Not the decision to go for it. The decision not to take the penalty one yard away from the goal line.

If they aren’t making it from 2 they probably aren’t making it from 1.
Taking 15 on the kickoff reduced the chances of them scoring. it was a smart decision.

They’ve have the most dominant two decades in NFL history. Why interrupt AB’s career suicide tour?

.

They beat the titans with mariotta. The Steelers with Hodges. The cowboys are a joke. They didn’t tie the ravens or the patriots and lost those games. How is that talking about actual victories? They also lost to the eagles and browns.
They are a 10-5 team that played 7 games against teams that gave 5 or fewer wins. Their best wins are against 8-6 teams with a benched QB and a rookie UDFA QB. They are what they are and they are not a team to fear.

You realize that the Patriots big wins are against the Steelers and the Bills, right?

My point is that the Bills take maximum advantage of their opportunities. This means any little hiccup by your team is potentially dangerous. A Burkhead fumble, Sanu falling totally asleep ona block, BAM, they take the ball and score 7. It's like a 10 point turnaround, and it's all about your mistakes.

The patriots beat them twice. That kinda throws out The Who beat who argument.
Any competitive team can score sometimes after a mistake. You are acting like accomplishing anything at all is superlative.
They are what they are.
If you want to be scared of them go ahead. I see about 10 better teams in the nfl all of whom are capable of making a 4th down stop and scoring a td.

And AB has won none.
When it turned into the patriots were a loser franchise waiting to be saved by the winner AB escapes me.

I'm not making a who beat who argument. I'm saying the Patriots are also hanging their hats on not very stellar victories. That's all.

There are several teams we will play that will be easier to beat--because they make mistakes and beat themselves.

You're signaling pass to them when you don't take the penalty. If it's a run, you have to take the penalty. A 1 yard run at the goalline has a much greater chance of success than a 2 yard run. And if you lose 24-22, you look like morons.

Hes not good in math

Seriously? You think I one yard makes a difference on a pass play, being one yard back may have helped.

Rather than 24-23?

Will eat crow for any antics earlier over this game... @n6249c

Been dealing with a loss of life in this world and I was emotional over the game, and said things I shouldn’t have said! This whacky game we’re all fans of seems to push some of us sometimes.

A great win to say the least. Hoping for the best the rest of the way, even if I have to use it as crutch :(

When WRs began having to win titles to be worth a damn is what you should be pondering, because that notion is beyond absurd.
