Like I've always said...we can beat anybody as long as we play clean. This team cannot afford the big mistakes

Disappointed game but playoffs appear wide open. Chiefs, Titans and Bills were all in close games late in the 4th against weak teams. Not happy with how the Pats played but they did make a comeback and with a more favorable whistle (maybe an offensive hold on Miami at least one time?) who knows. Gonna be a tough game next week no matter who they play but they have a chance.
The calls that were killers were the bolden penalty for a hit that didn’t happen and the dpi in the end zone when the ball landed out of bounds beyond the sideline stripe and was clearly uncatchable

We could blame the refs all day but ultimately we made too many mistakes, turned the ball over and dug a hole at the beginning. Also the injuries are piling on. Let’s hope this team is ready to go on wild card weekend.

Pats always get their asses kicked in Miami so I’m not surprised …..but I am very shocked and disappointed by the crap performance today. Mac has had a fine season for a rookie…just don’t see him being ready for playoff football….so many key mistakes

This is who the Pats are. They are not a SB contender. But I’m still thrilled with the Pats 2021 season. A rebuilding team with a rookie QB and a bunch of new guys, that goes 10-7 and gets to the playoffs. Definitely a successful season.

I fully expect them to be one and done, Cincy & Buffalo are just better than the Pats. BUT if they surprise us with a win, that’s just icing on the cake. I’m excited to see what they do in free agency and the draft to improve this team. I fully expect improvement next year. Would love to see some more explosive weapons for Mac. Also hoping Mac improves, he has shown so much promise as a rookie, but I’m hoping for less INTs next year. Also hoping for a beast in the middle to help against the run.

This game sucked, to be down 17-0 is just a killer, but if the defense just got some stops after that, the game was winnable, got almost all the way back. Going 1-3 in the last 4 games was sobering. All 3 losses to good teams, we just can’t beat good teams, doesn’t bode well for the playoffs.

I agree 100%. I don't know if the Pats will ever win a SB in my lifetime again, but I do think they will be a competitive franchise going forward.

Lmao, what?!!
Have you heard of shooting you own self in the foot. Tell me if you've ever seen so many pre-snap penalties from a BB coach team, I'll wait... 4th and one lining up wrong? Wait, do you understand a Pro Football teams life? Your job, you get paid millions to execute and know what you are doing. Tell me any team you've seen have that same penalty. I could go on but i'm sure the talk show host will cover all the DUMB Penalties. Godness, the kicker was sliding and you go for his head.... Yikes, don't let me get going.... Your right, i'm wrong. Sorry.

It's frustrating because this team is not plating like a Belichick coached team. So many mental mistakes. I expected them to be a smart and tough team that would lose games because of rookie mistakes and a lack of talent.

I stead, I watch this teamake dumb mistakes.
Half of the starters are new to the team, and probably just as many reserves.
Expecting the mental and situational dominance the franchise built with consistency and a veteran roster of players who learned how to okay here may be unrealistic.
Things that happen have a reason why they happen. The qualities of a team built long term shouldn’t be expected to just exist when you rebuild.

I know it would be worse to be a fan of BAL, Indy, or Bob Saget, but this was still a frustrating loss.

The sad thing is that a month ago, the Pats had a puncher's chance of getting to the Super Bowl. Now I am thinking they are likely going to be one and done. And the sad thing is they are good enough to beat anyone on the AFC side, but they are a team without any energy coming into the game and playing and coaching way too conservatively especially early in the game.

I will never get why they come into games playing soft zones and passive pass rushes. I will never get why they hold Kendrick Bourne to four targets a game. I am happy they finally targeted Henry more than 3-4 targets a game, but not until late in the first half. I don't get why it looks like the Patriots don't trust the offense in key situations and gets too conservative. I don't get how this team has gotten dumb with stupid and costly penalties. And all that is before we even look at poor execution.

Not retaining Danny Shelton was a mistake.

The story of this game is self-inflicted injuries. 3 turnovers by the patriots - 1 int and 2 lost fumbles. 8 penalties for 78 yards, many of those happening at the worst possible moments.

You might try to take a moral victory from the 'almost fightback' in the second half but this game was actually lost in the first half. Thanks to cowardly play-calling. The inexplicable decision not to go for it on 4th and short at midfield while the team was behind by 2 scores.

Because our coaches lacked the balls to instruct the team to fight for the tough yards in a game that would end up going down to the wire, we had already lost the war. By failing to score at end the first half, we set ourselves up for the loss in the second half. The final margin a field goal, that we might have scored had we dared to try to go for it on 4th and a foot in the 1st half.

This team fell to 10-7. Bad discipline. Bad composure in the moments that count. And cowardly coaching that acted as if conservatism would win the game when we were clearly behind on the scoreboard.

10-7 is not bad, mind you. We're on to the playoffs. But the way we capped of the season leaves a sour taste in my mouth and perhaps other Patriots fans who think critically. If this is the way we react to adversity, as a team and as a coaching staff, we're going to get chewed UP and spit OUT very quickly by the elite teams left in the playoffs.

The good news is that it will probably happen very quickly as we have to face Buffalo for a 3rd time. Can you show us something new BB and McDaniels? Because Miami was your Waterloo. Can the Patriots recover? I honestly have no idea. Because we didn't look like ourselves at all. Not at all like the team that won 7 straight and brought some respect back to the logo. Right now, it's all looking very hollow, like a house of cards about to collapse.

From what Reiss is saying, this is going to be an offseason of recovery from Barmore! Frig.
Barmore is a huge part of D….this is horrible news…sorry for him first and foremost….Very tough for Pats to go further….continue to have sh!t run D …..questionable secondary and OL….and rookie QB who is inconsistent

Pats always get their asses kicked in Miami so I’m not surprised …..but I am very shocked and disappointed by the crap performance today. Mac has had a fine season for a rookie…
The last time MIA swept the pats was in 2000.

I think DMac stays, and at the least we franchise JJ. So we have 1 more year. Hightower is not a huge loss at this point. Lots of young blood next year to learn how to step up.
Dmac is done

Kraft needs to complain. At this point we have multiple calls that were called inconsistently. Squeaky wheel gets the grease

The officiating has been terrible everywhere. It's not just the Patriots, or the Bucs, or any other single team. It's game after game, with every team probably having lost at least one game because of ****ty officiating.

One side of the ball needs to assert itself and start fast next week. Whole team is starting slow and cannot have that. When we beat Cleveland and LA, went down 7-0, but offense picked us up right away. Both units play good for stretches, but not consistently and not early. Also not generating turnovers like earlier, but you cannot rely on that.

Agholor been a BIG disappointment. Patriots can cut him after this season, with a 5M cap hit...
Jonnu was invisible as well in many of the past games...
It's a 10M dollar hit.. we can save 5 million. No way he is getting cut.

Bob Saget passed away. Found him dead in his hotel room.
