Giants tight end Levine Toilolo will miss the entire 2021 NFL season with a torn Achilles tendon.


Toilolo was carted off the practice field today, and this evening the team made the announcement that he suffered the injury.

The Titans are adding a veteran backup behind Ryan Tannehill.

Matt Barkley, who spent the last three years with the Bills, announced on Twitter that he has signed with the Titans.

Al Riveron is leaving the league office.

Riveron, who was appointed the head of the officiating department in 2017 after Dean Blandino left for FOX, is retiring, according to Kevin Seifert of ESPN.

The NFL had already reduced Riveron’s load by giving more of the work to Walt Anderson and Perry Fewell, and now Anderson and Fewell will run the officiating department.

Reporting from the Giants beat on Wednesday indicated that receiver Kenny Golladay‘s hamstring injury was not considered significant.

Now there’s a potential timeline for his return.

According to Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News, Golladay is expected to miss 2-3 weeks with a hamstring pull.

Cornerback A.J. Bouye will be on the sidelines at Panthers training camp for a while.

Bouye left practice on Monday after pulling a muscle and has remained out of action for the last few days. Panthers head coach Matt Rhule said on Thursday that the team expects Bouye will miss a couple of weeks before he’s ready to return to action.

The Falcons announced a pair of roster moves on Thursday morning.

Wide receiver/kick returner Trevor Davis has signed a contract with the team and been added to the 90-man roster. Tight end Jaeden Graham has been placed on injured reserve in a corresponding move.

I think the Texans will regret not moving Watson when he started grumbling. I know it’s difficult to move on from talent, but while he is clearly a good player on the field, he’s never brought that team to the SB - even when he had talent (and a huge lead).
