I don't think Peter King will appreciate Cimini using a hypothetical quote from one of his articles in order to make one of the best coaches in the NFL look bad.

If I were Kerry Rhodes, I'd want to slug out Cimini today.

Cimini (almost) tricked Rhodes into a real mistake there. If Rhodes didn't handle it so well, Cimini could have really caused the kid some problems.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Jets players now refuse to even talk to Cimini in the future - - kind of like passengers not wanting to fly with a drunk pilot in the ****pit - - it would be harmful to a player's career to be in the vicinity of a writer who could make up such trouble.

I JUST SPOKE TO THE SPORTS EDITOR AT THE DAILY NEWS:

HIIIILARIOUS. He knew nothing about it. To his credit he stayed on the phone with me. I explained the whole situation and that it was sort of blowing up all over the internet, and that Cimini went around getting player reactions, etc... and he said he'd look into it. I was shocked he didn't hang up and even more shocked he doesn't know anything about it.

But I sense he's about to.

It's a newspaper over 718,000 receive daily and probably millions read everyday on their website.

To make this big of a mistake is huge. He should be fired or suspended.
