That's a factor. Someone posted numbers before the TEN game of 48% 11 personnel (1 TE, 3 WRs) and 38% 22 personnel (2 TEs, 2 WRs). That's 86% of the offense. Hollins as 3rd TE could be a chunk of the remaining 14%, or whatever slightly different number it is after this last game.

That said - Boutte is only playing 71.56% of the offensive snaps on the year and Diggs is at 55.08% and those are up to date through TEN. Adjusted down for his "3rd TE role" and yeah, Hollins probably isn't in the true #2 WR snaps standing he's in now at 58.69%, just ahead of Diggs, but just doing the math there's he's still playing pretty significant snaps.

You should also take into consideration red zone snaps and Hollins throughout his career has really been good there. Kind of his specialty before coming here. 14 red zone targets with 11 receptions and 2 TD’s (8.9% of his total snaps) through 7 games is pretty impressive production where it matters most for a WR 3/4.

We need depth at certain positions. What’s so hard to comprehend?
Why you would argue it by overrating how a qb played against us.

This depth argument is inaccurate as well. Every team “needs more depth”. It’s the NFL. We are actually deeper than most teams at many positions. If your argument is depth is a weakness I would ask what teams you think have good depth.

That’s really not true. He only has 2 red zone receptions this year. You listed his total production, 11 receptions on 126 routes run is very bad.
For his career in 112 games prior to this season he had 17 red zone receptions, 10 for tds.
We’ve survived with him being out there and rarely getting open but he hasn’t been good by any means.

I’m not sure how you get 2 TDs in 260 snaps played to equal 8.9%.

We need some depth at certain positions. What’s so difficult to understand?…
This is where I am at. I wouldn't be mad if we traded for Olave or a higher-end player, but I would rather us add depth guys since we are super thin in so many areas. There are plenty of depth guys on bad teams that would likely take a late-round pick. Not sure how bad the blood is on either side, but Tennessee is the perfect trade candidate for a lot of guys. They have some expiring rookie contracts and some veterans that would make sense for us, and with them having yet another regime change, there is a good chance a lot of those guys are cut loose in a few months anyways, so why not get a head start?

Chris Olave would be a nice acquisition if we can get him: yes I know about the concussion risk but nothing ventured nothing gained. We could move some guys on lesser contracts to sweeten the deal ie... Pop Douglas or KW. Chris Olave could our Transition #1 WR from Diggs in couple of years.

There was an ESPN article listing top 25 players for trade. Ones we had all talked about. The interesting thing was they only linked the Pats to two players, Jakobi Myers and Jerome Ford (CLE RB).

Zamir White is the play at RB if we can get him for a 6.

WR doesn’t feel particularly urgent.

We could use a legit blocking TE.

Safety help.

Tackle depth.

Coverage LB.

And I’ll say it: a true fullback could really help the team. Westover isn’t anything meaningful at either FB or TE.

Im wondering if the saints even want to move him before next year, why would they? Hes on the 5th year option next year which isn’t cheap but still a bargain for what he can bring. They might as well hold onto him and help rattler’s progression until they HAVE to trade him which i would think comes next year. That actually is better for us imo because id rather wait at least the rest of this year to see where our guys are before doing a wr trade.

My brother in Christ, did you see Spencer Joe Montana Rattler against us last week??….
It's the zone coverage.. we have great man coverage CBs on the outside.. zone is to easy for a QB..

They have a ton of bad contracts on their books. Still paying guys who are not even still on their Team.

Speaking of blocking TE eagles just released Bell. Would he be a viable option at TE.. in that role? Definitely agreed on white.. we should have eyes on him at RB.

True but I don’t know if they save that much more moving him now vs next offseason. We shall see

I saw that . He has speed . He stuttered twice on the deep route and maybe did not expect that .

I think he just needs to use straight line speed for now. I don't understand why he had to give couple of cuts. And the maye deep balls sailed him by 5-8 feet which is the distance he could have covered if he did not brake.

Simplify the routes for Williams and make him just go linear . Let him catch a few of the deep balls to gain some confidence.

Or a couple of WR screen-type plays, just to get his hands on a football so he can remember what it feels like again...

Better than the smoke screen offenses past few seasons huh cap?
