Zamir White is the play at RB if we can get him for a 6.

WR doesn’t feel particularly urgent.

We could use a legit blocking TE.

Safety help.

Tackle depth.

Coverage LB.

And I’ll say it: a true fullback could really help the team. Westover isn’t anything meaningful at either FB or TE.
Your thoughts mirror mine. I don't think the Pats will do anything rash at the trade deadline. My feeling is the Front Office is taking a long-term, sustained success roster construction view. The most cost-effective way to do that is hitting on your draft capital.

I like this analysis, but Tavai is NOT bad as a #7 or #8 LB, and a solid STer.
Agreed, but only as long as we only carry 6 or less.

Where do you even draw the line for "bad" if a 7th or 8th LB isn't bad?

"He's a terrible starter. Also sucks as a main backup. Other than that he's solid."

Chris Olave would be a nice acquisition if we can get him: yes I know about the concussion risk but nothing ventured nothing gained. We could move some guys on lesser contracts to sweeten the deal ie... Pop Douglas or KW. Chris Olave could our Transition #1 WR from Diggs in couple of years.
You are a gas. When you post the same message 50 times do you think that is enough? Or after 100 posts?

They have a ton of bad contracts on their books. Still paying guys who are not even still on their Team.
They have a ton of bad contracts on the team, so they want to trade one of their good contracts. The logic is irrefutable.

It's only 'good' for the rest of the year. Next year, his option year, is like 15 million. Cheap for a #1, sure, but when you're paying that much to players who haven't played on the team for 3 years, it starts to add up.

Now, if they think Olave's there for the end of the rebuild, they may very well keep him, and they're not paying a quarterback, so we'll see.

They're certainly not obliged to trade him, and keeping him is a viable strategy. But it also could make sense to trade him as well.

No, because there are actual holes at linebacker and safety. There are players there who can't really play at a good enough level.

WR does not have that issue. Mack Hollins isn't dropping passes. He isn't getting shut down as a primary option. He's a guy who's good at blocking, so he's in on run plays. He's fine.

Christian Elliss is bad.
Jelani Tavai is bad.
...and Marty McPoo, Ewell Gibbons & even Mickey Spillane aren't really much to write home about either.

Jaylin Hawkins is bad.
...as is every Safety not named Woodson; and he ain't no great shakes himself. Why again did we rid ourselves of Jabrill Peppers?

Mack Hollins is not bad.
Better so far than both Williams & Chism, that's for sure.

We also have needs at LG, RB, DE & Backup Boundary & Slot CB that, as of now at least, also supersede our need at Outside WR.

You mean the guy that's had like 20 snaps for the Steelers?

Looks like Vrabel got that one right. Peppers is washed.

He's currently our #3 LB behind only Spillane & Elliss and ahead of McPoo & Gibbons.

Playing time against the Titans from the most to the least was Spillane, Mapu, Elliss, and Tavai. Mapu is ahead of Elliss and Tavai, his playing time is increasing every week, and Mapu led the team in tackles with only playing 20 snaps.

OK, then let's fire all those who Vrabel has behind Tavai in the depth chart, in addition, of course to tavai. NOT!

We need a legit OG and a quality DB. We have 6 WR's on roster and two are rookies. The guys we have a playing good ball. Boutte has #1 potential. The guy has improved every year and seems to come down with the ball every time he's targeted, even when he's well covered. Our BIG weakness is still the OLine. We didn't do enough in offseason.

You think that we will/should trade for an OL?
???
I guess that Vrabel didn't do enough.
He signed or drafted FOUR starters and a backup RT. He also signed a backup OG who retired.

Yes, we will re-assess and add more help to the OL in the offseason.

You’re saying we don’t have a legit OG? Neither of them?

Not the RG that was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2020 after playing both guard and tackle during the season, and was PFF’s fourth ranked guard when he played the full 2022 season at RG?

Not the rookie LG who just made the PFF Rookie z team of the Week for week 7?

What do you consider “legit”?

He's also playing behind better players than we have here; so we should get better players too.

I'd take Kevin Zeitler off the Titties' hands right now and start him Immediately at left Guard in place of Wilson, who's about to hit the Inexperienced Rookie wall... I also wouldn't mind DE Arden Key & FS Xavier Woods while I'm at it...
