NFL executives offer their take on the Patriots and the trade possibilities for Jimmy Garoppolo

Most of our posts here are rational arguments about JG's value to another team. OTOH, when have the perpetual losing teams in the NFL, those with desperate, entitled rich owners who see their teams as ego extensions of themselves, made rational choices? Look at who they hire as coaches (over and over and over again). Look at the trades they make, and the players they sign at huge $$, in attempts at instant gratification, seeking love from their local fanbase and media?

That's what the Pats will play with the JG situation. There will be a stupid offer for JG somewhere along the way during the upcoming winter. We will know the coaching staffs' evaluation of JG based on whether they bite on it (if they do, or if they don't but it leaks).
