It also doesn't have Will Lawing, either. The website is notoriously inaccurate.

Kicking Matt to the curb is the first step to getting rid of the dysfunction. Still need to get rid of Judge and the sons (won't happen).
If you read that article, it's Curran assuming that he's not with the team anymore. Nothing's concrete.
mac held patricia's offense back i realize nowIt's all Mac's fault.
No question last year handling of the offensive coaching situation was Bill's biggest f-up in the 22 years he had led the org.If BB really likes him, he did him a major disservice by setting him and the offense up for failure. His reputation is trashed.
As for BB I have lost so much respect for him. 90% of his efforts should have been focused on the offense. He either delegated and ignored the offense or he had his hands in it, demonstrating that he is horrible at offensive scheming and playcalling.

At this point owner's are probably thinking he had issues in Detroit, came Back to NE had no business whatsoever trying to call an NFL offense.. he's socially awkward.. this era of NFL Players I don't see where he fits...XFL...Jesus.
I think Fat Matt should join the WWE. He can be like Mankind v2
Giving someone an opportunity is not setting him up for failure. There is no way that BB would have made the move if he thought that it would go so badly. BB's failure was thinking that MP could be successful as an OC. At least MP has enough credibility on the defensive side of the ball that he should be able to find another job.If BB really likes him, he did him a major disservice by setting him and the offense up for failure. I've heard some players say he's a great guy and others (esp in DET) hate his guts.At this point owner's are probably thinking he had issues in Detroit, came Back to NE had no business whatsoever trying to call an NFL offense.. he's socially awkward.. this era of NFL Players I don't see where he fits...
I THINK that he could have remained if he had wanted to take on a FO, or Ernie Adams role. But it looks like he still wants to coach with an NFL team, since he took the DC interview with Denver. I know is very popular to frame him as the idiot who couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag, but he wouldn't have lasted almost 20 years here with Bill if he couldn't coach. "Fall Guy" was a very apt gif, PF2
Absolutely.. I don't know if Bill hyped them up to make them feel like they could do the job... as they say learning offense from defense is like speaking a foreign language.. it's probably going to be a position coach job or the college ranks, maybe even xfl..
That makes no sense. Why risk a crucial year in your young QB's development on a placeholder OC? He really thought the Matt/Judge combo would be successful and was wrong.I pretty much agree with this, and with the benefit of hindsight I think last year’s OC debacle was the result of Belichick not seeing anyone he wanted as a full time OC available, so rather than hire/fire someone after one year he kept it within his staff and waited for O@Brien’s contract at Alabama to expire, knowing he wanted to get back to the NFL, and this would be his best route. And I do think Patricia could still end up in a front office/ Ernie Adam’s role, but wants to try and catch on as a coach right now.
