Goodell still upset about Patricia's clown shirt

I would be pretty pissed if Goodell manage to stifle Patricia's career because of this. The article implies that he can.
"Vendetta" is Goodell's secret password when logging into his Wells Report account

I understand Ian's point of view, but still think it is a great idea. Like Ken, I don't understand why Portnoy isn't spearheading this.

It was never going to happen. The combination of logistics and finances made it pretty much impossible to pull off without the help of the Patriots, and the Patriots weren't going to be that blatant about hostilities towards Goodell.

"The full 32"

I can't take credit for this, as I saw it in the PFT comments, but wouldn't that course of action confirm what many believe drove deflategate, that Goodell is a petty and vindictive person?
I don't think he cares, he has become self aware and realizes the power "his bosses" and the players gave him.

Never understood this theory. Why on earth would Bill Belichick retire from coaching only to continue to put in hour after hour from the press box, instead? It doesn't make any sense.

I think when he's done, he's done. He's not going to continue committing a similar amount of time just to be titled under a different position, at least in my opinion.
100% correct. He'll head for his boat, the Rubber Chicken Circuit & Corporate Golf events for $50,000 a pop, occasional studio gigs on Sundays and his home on Nantucket. Why in the world would he want to do anything that consumes 60 hours a week, when he has nothing left to prove?

In addition, he knows full well that they would never get anyone great to be HC of the NEP if he were looking over their shoulder. Remember, it was the specter of Parcells as GM that resulted in a famous resignation of a guy whose name slips me as "HC of the NYJ." Anybody remember who that was?

Goodell has broken one of the cardinal rules of life in the public spotlight: "Never let them see you sweat."

A true pro would laugh the T-shirt off in public...even make a joke about it...and then get his revenge quietly and coldly, if it bothered him that much. Now, anything that happens to Patricia will be scrutinized for Roger's fingerprints.

Not only is he an idiot, he's an amateur politician as well.

There's gotta be someone on this Board with a ton of money who could buy 50,000 of the shirts and pay some guys to give them out on Opening Night.

If you cut that check, and get the Patriots to sign off on people passing out those shirts on team property (this would have to be done at the gates, after all), I'm sure there would be plenty of Patsfans.com posters who'd be willing to give them out, without getting paid.

P.S. Gillette seats about 67,000, so you'd need at least that many shirts, and you'd need an assortment of sizes.

Oh, he can...

I have a design in mind for the grounds crew:

Why couldn't barstool or whoever owns the rights to the shirt do a solid for pats fans on that night and sell them at the cost to make and ship them off?
They would get enormous fre advertising out of of.
