That gives the Ratbirds three prominent TEs, none of which is a star. Therefor I expect a pruning.
Oh God, has the Ridley Bashing started already. You'd think we could wait until training camp before the haters come out of the woodwork
Only self loathing Patriots fans would would continually bash the best RB they've had since Cory Dillon's 2004 season. Unbelievable.
BTW- for all of you who think that Blount was better than Ridley, BB certainly didn't. If he had he would have coughed up the less than $2MM the Steelers paid for him. But he didn't, and why? Because Blount wasn't as good as Ridley, and decent RB's will be available in July and in the draft in the 6th round
BTW-2- how come no one every mentions that the guy who fumbled most on the Pats was the guy that everyone demanded come back. Julian Edelman had 6 last season, vs Ridley's 4.
Yup wouldn't mind bringing him in for cheap even though he was a disappointment in BaltimoreIsn't Ed ****son still a Free Agent?

Was thinking the same thing earlier although maybe he's satisfied with their depthThe fact that Chip Kelly hasn't scooped him up on a minimum deal tells me all I really need to know.
Lots of questions on the other side of the ball thoughThe Bucs are building a fairly nasty D with some very good depth.
The DL rotation consists of Michael Johnson, Adrian Clayborn, Da'Quan Bowers and Gerald McCoy. They're a little light at DT/NT but that can be fixed in the draft. Foster, David and Casillas is a reasonable linebacking crew with Fletcher and Munoz in the wings. Perhaps the strength of the D is their Secondary. Verner and Banks are solid Corners with a platoon of Goldson, Barron and Wright at Safety. With Lovie at the helm, they could make major strides in 2014.
The biggest question mark is at Quarterback however, the Bucs have some fairly handy skill position players in Doug Martin, Mike James, Vincent Jackson, Louis Murphy, Brandon Myers, Tim Wright and Tom Crabtree.Lots of questions on the other side of the ball though

I don't think Glennon or McCown are the answer.
Not sold on the offensive line either but I agree with you both of those guys probably aren't the answer so it'll be interesting to see if they draft a guy however Glennon did flash at times last year but McCown will be named the starter. I'd say of the receivers mentioned I'm not sold on anyone besides Vincent Jackson but they are a run first team so if Doug Martin is back to form it'll be huge for them but they'll struggle from playing from behind once again. The biggest question mark is at Quarterback however, the Bucs have some fairly handy skill position players in Doug Martin, Mike James, Vincent Jackson, Louis Murphy, Brandon Myers, Tim Wright and Tom Crabtree.

McCown has been a scrub for the majority of his career. A purple patch on a team filled with explosive playmakers on every level isn't something worth putting forward as a snapshot.McCown was playing at a high level last year. He was much better than Cutler. He is underrated imo.
No major disagreement from me more pointing out they are going some way to correcting the lack of playmakers on O.Not sold on the offensive line either but I agree with you both of those guys probably aren't the answer so it'll be interesting to see if they draft a guy however Glennon did flash at times last year but McCown will be named the starter. Just a point of information, PFK. You are assuming that BB didn't want to cough up the money. Another very plausible explanation is that Blount decided to leave once his man Talib signed with Denver.
Riddle me this....
Who has hands of stone while wearing spikes on his feet?
Yeah, that's a possible reason he left, but I doubt it. I would guess it was more likely the biggest reason he's gone is that with the Steelers, he would be sharing snaps with only one other RB, rather than the 2 or 3 he'd have to share with here. The 2nd reason was probably the style of offense the Steelers run, which historically has featured RB's more than most. Money was actually probably the 3rd reason, because in the end I doubt it was much more than what the Pats offered. So in the end, if losing Talib was a reason for him going, it was the 4th most important reason, if at all.Just a point of information, PFK. It is telling though that BB chose not to match the deal (assuming he got the chance) given that it was for less than $2MM/yr. I'm guessing BB felt it was too much money for a RB who, given who is left to run the ball, was more of luxury than a necessity.
Blount left because Pittsburgh offered him two years and the Pats only offered one.
