Don't know if this has been reported here, but Steve Smith was released a short while ago, according to NFLN.

Didn't catch who it was, but he was saying, 'Can you imagine Smith in the slot role in NEw England with his YAC potential?"

Yeah, sounds like a plan.

I wouldn't mind either one of Smith or LaFell coming here as a possible upgrade to what we have. I don't want to have to rely on the thought of rookies stepping up--if it happens with a guy (or maybe two if we're extremely lucky), then all the better.

Jason Avant here for a visit as well, according to Field Yates.

Josh McCown has signed a two-year, $10 million contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter

Looks like Patriots signed Buccaneers CB Darrelle Revis. Solid pickup imo.

Ex-Rams G/T Rodger Saffold has failed his physical with the Raiders, voiding his five-year, $42.5 million contract.

Wow. Imagine being Saffold? That close to a huge payday and can't pass the physical. Maybe he'll take a one year deal, too?

YES, please give me Steve Smith.
Avant would be nice if Edelman isn't resigned.

He's back with the Rams on a 5 year deal according to Schefter.

Boy that was quick. Rams get a second chance and take advantage.

OK, I have to think we offered at least this to Edelman. That is cheap.

4/$14M

Edelman is not worth as much as Jones - I wouldn't sign Edelman to a contract that did not include a good portion of his compensation based on games played. He had one healthy year, although a very nice one. Edelman isn't going to thrive just anywhere even if he does stay healthy. Brady has made a lot WR's look better than they really are and Edelman is no exception. Edelman is not as good as Branch was when he left and look what he did. Edelman will probably be back, but the Pats may get him cheaper than what they thought - of course their offer was probably pretty damn close.

Decker to the Jets

The Manning Big 4 is no more! The Jets signed an overrated WR1!

Win Win!

geno smith to eric decker LOLOLOLOLO

Revis will have a field day...that has a nice ring to it

R.I.P Eric Decker's career.

Decker's good but he's no Chaz Schillens.....

I'm glad the Jets signed Decker. The guy has talent, but he, more than Manning, he comes up small in big situations.

Jets are giving former Broncos WR Eric Decker a 5-year, $36.25M deal, including $15M gtd, per source.

Jets paid a 5-year, $36.25M for Decker.
Overpaid for someone who isn't going to do anything this year lol
