It's been a busy day. Here we go:

Jimmy Graham tweeted that he is getting the franchise tag

He still arguing that it should be for a WR and not a TE?

Going to be really interesting to watch this play out.

He should. Jus thinking that it could get interesting. Think he'll win that?

He should win, but will he? There really is no doubt he was more of a WR then a TE. And that is why it is going be interesting.

The Jets decided to slap the Franchise Tag on K Nick Folk, and not a feather ruffled in the wind.

Wow, I remember Sydney Rice was a stud back in 2009. He just can't stay healthy or what?

Of course. No reason he shouldn't win.

Wouldn't be surprised if the NFL and NFLPA modify the franchise tags to put in an H-Back position and make it a mesh of the TE/WR salaries..

It's because they only gave him a 1 year deal last year and they have to wait until 3/11 to give him another one... They didn't want to lose him..

Rumor has it that the Eagles will be parting ways with Jason Avant.

this will now be the jets back up plan becasue they lost out on maclin...watch

But he is only a #3 WR at best

Remember that this is a new front office. So not the same guys that traded up for him.

Yeah, I said that it was a new regime in the post you responded to. but even with a new regime, when a team dumps a high first round pick that the team traded up to get a year ago that speaks volumes about the players.

Jordan was a bit of a head scratcher when they took him third overall and he showed nothing last year to prove that he was remotely worth his draft position. The Dolphins are going to get pennies on the dollar in draft capital if they find a trading partner especially after the trade for Trent Richardson blew up in the Colts' face.

Jordan's size is already an issue because many teams considered him a tweener coming out of the draft and didn't think he would fit either at DE or OLB and he did nothing last year to dispel that fear. So the market for him was already thinned before he was even drafted.

I don't care if it is a new front office. If a team is shopping the third overall pick after a year of being in the NFL, that tell you they think the guy is a bum. If they thought he could be remotely the player he was supposed to be at the #3 overall pick, they would keep him at least another year just to raise his trade value.

He would be, just not at a 6.5m AAV for 1200 yards and 11 touchdowns over 4 years, coming off an injury that caused him to miss almost an entire season.

While his deal is just plain silly, i'm surprised he accepted it after fighting to get the WR franchise that would pay him over 11m.

I'd prefer Scott Chandler over Pitta, personally, he has better, more consistent production, and will probably be cheaper because nobody knows who he is, unlike Pitta who became a big name with ****son for being "mini gronk and hernandez" even though Gronks 2011 alone is nearly both of their careers production combined.

That is a ridiculous contract for pitta. He isn't worth half of that.

What is your opinion of Avant, DaBruinz?

I would think that he'd be the typical kind of "reasonable" money signing at the position myself, assuming that the money/value are there of course.

He had a bit of a downturn in '13 with only 38 catches, but prior to that he had three seasons in a row with 50+ catches.

I am far from being a decent talent evaluator, but for some reason Avant has been a guy who I've thought about for awhile, as I remember wanting him last time he hit the open market.

Orakpo got tagged by the Redskins

The Eagles re-signed Cedric Thornton

Dolphins and Grimes agreed on a 4 year deal

No surprise here...
