I think it will be to against Cincinnati as Flacco will do his best to play spoiler.
Grandpa Joe Flacco will be sacked a lot what's the record in the sack joint??

I don't care if he ever throws for 300 yards. I'd rather see a balanced attack with the run game going 100-plus and Drake doing his customary +/- 250.

I think we're going to have to put up a lot of points versus Cincy, so if it's going to happen, probably in that one.
i think it will be @Cincy too with Boutte coming back (?)

New England is sitting at around 13.4 yards per point rn, good enough for 12th in the league. As we know, stats are for losers, but more or less getting at this: all I care about is if that 300 yard game is efficient with its yards. That being said, it will probably have to happen against Cincinnati. They will put up a lot on this defense. I'm excited for that game, I think we'll get a real sense of where our defense is at with them.

I don't care about 300, but between Hollins dropping the 50 yard bomb and Diggs dropping the 30 yarder, he's at 360.

Just win baby! The 300 yard games will come all in due time.

Maye is processing the game with ease. Overlooked is how intelligent he is. Just like Brady.

I didn't realize at the time but I voted for Quick Prostate Test..which is not something Drake probably needs at this time for week 12. So changed my vote to Miami instead.

So wild that Mac had 2 his rookie year (and a 299), and 2 with Patty his 2nd. Heck Zap had one for his 2nd start. Shows how significant this stat is. Just win baby!

Guessing Cincy. Hoping for 400.

To honor your post, I think the yards will come. They want him to focus on low-risk (most of the time), high-% throws to wide open receivers.

Keep in mind hes "only" throwing the ball 29 times a game and they are running it the same amount. Def trying to stay balanced.

The formula is working perfectly.
His yards per attempt are extremely good. It's the one truly telling yardage stat. The rest is window dressing.

Hey you were right!

But seriously folks... he keeps encountering and meeting challenges and tests... I think we all lamented after the second Buffalo game that it felt like he had nowhere left to dig down to, and true to Drake form, he was feeling that as much as we were, and learned from it how to stay tough, stay fired up, stay strong, and find a way.

Yes, two different levels of opponent, etc., but the Pats "solved" Baltimore late in the game and carved them up when it mattered... that's coaching, QB play, all of it.

That's the more important thing, overcoming a multi-TD lead late in the game. Yes, secondarily, Drake went over 300 (and almost over 400.) The main thing is, he led the team back.

And you know what didn't happen? That uncanny accuracy didn't deteriorate in the process. Still over 70% complete and 380 yards. Suffice it to say, that's not how it's usually done. That was a huge surprise.

Last thing... it's been whiplash watching the complaints in the GDT... "Why aren't they running more? Why aren't they passing it more? Why didn't they pick the one that woulda coulda shoulda worked?"

When you lose by 4 it's not a massacre and when you win by 4 it's not a stroke of luck that the "other guy" had an injury. Football's a war. The Drake Maye Pats are learning that and internalizing it.

Maybe it just "looks like" a team contending for the SB this year, and learning to do it every year. I'll settle for winning the next game & the next, and hopefully having a little extra healing time.

Good conversations to have!

A blind squirrel finds an acorn every now and then.

The evolution and maturation of a QB takes time. Down 11....4th qtr...on the road...vs. a decent team. Those add charater.

I avoid the GDT. Too many posts without rational thought and with negativity.

I will eat crow. I was disappointed after the first interception and thought they will go 14-0 . The Henry fumble got us back in game and maye was a monster in 4th quarter .

Having said that I feel red zone offense still needs work and maye needs to figure out how to throw those lasers in tight windows which many of the top QBs do . There is gonna be traffic in RZ and we can't expect 1 yard separation .so get the chemistry rolling with 1 or 2 receivers to make r completions automatic maybe that's Henry , maybe it's Boutte or diggs but need to find those plays more .

topped 300 for the first time...

every yard was needed... it was good to see... though getting there nearly killed me last night

Yeah, and I assume some of the negativity is from guys who aren't actually Pats fans. What kills me is how many think they win a prize for being the "prophet in the wilderness" that can see that the team is not perfect.

First off, we're on a ride right now that might be something very cool - the first SB back after assuming possibly decades to get back there... hell, some people have NEVER seen their team win a SB. Or worse, they're two generations removed, existing on grandpa's stories of a QB so cool he could wear pantyhose and still get laid.

Point is, we're in the middle of it now. Why are people rooting for failure?

SMH. We are banged up. We persist in being disrespected. We are on our second post-Brady "franchise" QB. I think Mac Jones just plain got broken by our brain trust, and that he'll have a career with some team. But I think Drake Maye has sky-high upside (as witnessed by where he's gotten in just year 2)

Interesting times, unless you're in the GDT
