bonnie blue, 1000+ in 24 hrs iircGrandpa Joe Flacco will be sacked a lot what's the record in the sack joint??
I care.I don't care
i think it will be @Cincy too with Boutte coming back (?)I think we're going to have to put up a lot of points versus Cincy, so if it's going to happen, probably in that one.
That is a sneaky loseable game.Agreed. I can see cincy scoring 35 on this defense.
I feel that way about all of them. Except maybe the next Jets game. That is a sneaky loseable game.
His yards per attempt are extremely good. It's the one truly telling yardage stat. The rest is window dressing. To honor your post, I think the yards will come. They want him to focus on low-risk (most of the time), high-% throws to wide open receivers.
Keep in mind hes "only" throwing the ball 29 times a game and they are running it the same amount. Def trying to stay balanced.
The formula is working perfectly.

But seriously folks... he keeps encountering and meeting challenges and tests... I think we all lamented after the second Buffalo game that it felt like he had nowhere left to dig down to, and true to Drake form, he was feeling that as much as we were, and learned from it how to stay tough, stay fired up, stay strong, and find a way.
Yes, two different levels of opponent, etc., but the Pats "solved" Baltimore late in the game and carved them up when it mattered... that's coaching, QB play, all of it.
That's the more important thing, overcoming a multi-TD lead late in the game. Yes, secondarily, Drake went over 300 (and almost over 400.) The main thing is, he led the team back.
And you know what didn't happen? That uncanny accuracy didn't deteriorate in the process. Still over 70% complete and 380 yards. Suffice it to say, that's not how it's usually done. That was a huge surprise.
Last thing... it's been whiplash watching the complaints in the GDT... "Why aren't they running more? Why aren't they passing it more? Why didn't they pick the one that woulda coulda shoulda worked?"
When you lose by 4 it's not a massacre and when you win by 4 it's not a stroke of luck that the "other guy" had an injury. Football's a war. The Drake Maye Pats are learning that and internalizing it.
Maybe it just "looks like" a team contending for the SB this year, and learning to do it every year. I'll settle for winning the next game & the next, and hopefully having a little extra healing time.
Good conversations to have!
Yeah, and I assume some of the negativity is from guys who aren't actually Pats fans. What kills me is how many think they win a prize for being the "prophet in the wilderness" that can see that the team is not perfect.A blind squirrel finds an acorn every now and then.
The evolution and maturation of a QB takes time. Down 11....4th qtr...on the road...vs. a decent team. Those add charater.
I avoid the GDT. Too many posts without rational thought and with negativity.
