Peyton Manning is not Tom Brady's contemporary. He has none. There has been no one like him. What are you doing?

If you can use PM I can use Tom Coughlin.

There's a gap between Tom Brady and Peyton Manning. There's a yawning chasm between Bill Belichick and Tom Coughlin.

    Drew Brees.

After watching Two Bills and then this SB defense bullshit when Brady could have 6th, i ve lost respect for BB. Butler sucked all year, but he is better than Richards for sure. Cudos to Pederson who outsmarted him with brilliant plan.

I only wish that everyone would think about what they have had for the last 20 years and realize that pissing and moaning about what could have been or might have been is the equivalent of a billionaires son complaining about his terrible lot in life.

How many superbowls did Dan Marino’s Dolphins get? Defense and Belichick has never been sexy, but if i had to start a new team, defense & the coach would be where I would start with.

    Patsfans at a Thanksgiving dinner:

"It's the Turkey that makes this dinner as good as it is"

"Bull ****!! It's the mashed pototoes"

"None of that is any good without the gravy..."

"No credit for the cranberry sauce....??"

"Is it even a complete meal without corn of the cob and the buttered rolls??"

    Blah blah blah

Shut up and eat your dinner. :D

Butler doesn't play vs Move TEs and never has. Richards meanwhile was Chung's back up the Rover role. They are different positions.

The selection of Richards has nothing to do with Butler. It's a shame Chung got concussed, but this logic of SB 49 Butler or 2015 Butler rescuing the team, is quite comical to me.

That said, I agree that Richards is not really an NFL Safety and really is an old school SS, that plays only downhill. He's actually a sound tackler with a good nose for the ball, but that doesn't mean anything when you lack range and struggle to move laterally at that spot. Butler moves better laterally without questions, but he plays small, and Ertz would have eaten him alive, too, and throw on top of that Butler lost BB's trust.

He had an up and down year, all year, was clearly freelancing early in the year for INTs and a new, big contract after stupidly turning down 8 mil per in the offseason from BB.

You can't do all of that, get the flu, lash out at coaches, miss meetings and curfews, and act like it's still 2015.

Butler really thought he was going to go to a new team as RFA, get 8 mil+ per year for a long term deal, which means we may be dealing with someone who has some serious emotional or psychological damage from his views of what he was thinking he was going to get, financially.

    Jeff [email protected]

"Patriots offered Butler somewhere around $6M to $7M annually last season. Butler hoped to be paid in the ballpark of a top-10 CB."

Regardless, none of that helped us on Sunday.

    Butler never got over this:

    Jeff [email protected]

Patriots told Butler last season they wouldn't pay a CB more than $10M annually, so the Gilmore contract was definitely a gut punch.

    10:25 AM - Mar 13, 2017

And, the thing is, Gilmore got better the whole year, and Butler got worse.

Sucks, but Butler did this to himself. He was essentially a mental case and just stopped caring, ruining our team's chances.

So, Butler thought he was superior to Chris Harris of Denver, and may or may not helped us lose a SB over it.

Add Butler to the long list of those who wanted to use BB's incredible work environment fo their own personal and deluded gain.

Belichick had his system in place BEFORE Tom Brady even stepped foot in Foxboro - Brady is not a system quarterback but Belichick's system and the way he runs this team fits Brady's type of play to perfection...thats why they have success.

A Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich would suck ass it either one of those ingredients was left out...same with BB & Brady - they work together.

I thought bill had a terrible Sunday. Even the greats screw up. Brady almost carried BB to a win on Sunday. I do feel he's overrated as a defensive guy.

Give me a break with that. Butler looked very good against the jags in the second half. He's much better than what bill put out on Sunday. Still don't know what he was thinking.

I'll say the same thing about Brady as I said about Welker -- he makes that catch and we are not having this conversation. Gisele warned us, "My Husband Can Not F*king Throw The Ball And Catch The Ball At The Same Time."

Give me a break, it was a stupid playcall. They don't botch the snap on that 25 yard FG attempt and Gronk times his leap better on the hailmary (or the refs through the flag for the most blatant illegal contact to Hogan or roughing the passer on the very late on Brady) and we aren't having this conversation. Brady literally could have played the identical game, but one or two players here or there, 1 defensive stop here, we aren't having this conversation. Or better yet, Mason doesn't get beat, the strip sack never happens, Brady wins the game. Or the defense makes one stop on what ended up as the Eagles game-winning drive, the D-line never gets a chance to catch their breath, and Brady puts the game away.

We could play this game all day. Point is Brady flat-out 'balled' Sunday, despite a ton of pressure from the D-line. It's amazing he even put the team in position to win considering how terrible the defense was and the pressure he was under.

Without Brady, BB might not have any Superbowls. He's made a career out of bailing the defense out in the Superbowl. Maybe I give him the first Superbowl.

having a great qb like brady far outweighs the difference between an average coach and a great coach.
Brady carries this team...been that way for a while.

Yes, his brilliant work over and over patching holes with a decimated roster is really horrible. The guy would win exec of the year every year and people like you still wouldn’t get it.

    Offensive era, qb league.

Get over it or learn from others. Ugh.
