well, there is no sign of a sent email, so yes, i believe so.

as you can see; that is a private email to a friend sharing with him what i did.

why on god’s green earth would i make this up?

    you are one odd person

    great. i fail
to see where i do any “chest pumping”

if this is you pointing out i do have confidence in my analysis, fine. it is just not very importanr in the grand scheme of a messageboard.

I disagree. I have no idea why he was benched. There is only speculation.

I don't want to get personal, and for the love of God, woulda-shoulda-coulda is half of what fans do.

But seriously - this is not meant as a slight, more as a possible methodological change - think of what happens to your thinking if you do not pose counterfactuals as absolutes.

For example, if in these posts you think a healthy Hightower and McClellin would make a win more likely. It's the same point I kept making about the puzzling MB benching.

One other place I think I saw something a little more egregious, about all your predictions coming true. Then you said you outlined everything they should have done ahead of time, they didn't do them, and they lost.

This does not establish that what you said they should have done would have been more successful. You've got correlation, not causality.

Like I said, you don't have to think that way - after all, it's pretty boring and humble and non-fanlike. So I get if you don't. But for me, personally, this is a missing link. Sometimes I like what you say, but then I see things like the one noted above, and I go "huh?"

    See, I'm with you here.

Tend to agree, but allergic to counterfactuals.

LOL very small data set (regarding injuries). In terms of predictions, always a fool's errand, for quite some time the Pats being right back in it has been a good bet.

It's a good time to be alive and be a Pats fan my brother... that's damn near the only conclusion I can reach! (Sucks to lose the big one... but it's not like it felt in 2007-8.)

If we're ever close to 16-0 again, I know I'll get caught up in it. But losing that one sucked so very hard.

BB is extremely important. Let's be honest, without Brady how many playoff seasons, superbowls do we have. Without BB, we are still there every year.

Brady is also a tier above Peyton

It's been the Brady show the last 12 years after Parcells boys left. Since Parcells guys departed have we really had a defense that made you go wow? Belichicks an accomplished coach but it helps when you had the greatest defensive player of all time (Lawrence Taylor) and the greatest offensive player of all time (Tom Brady). BB was lucky to have those 2 guys.

Bill the GM has not only failed, but betrayed Bill the HC and Matt the former DC.

disagree. plenty of insiders i trust have very specific pieces of info and it is very disappointing

butler never got over his entitlement to 8+ mil per for more years than what bb was likely to give him

delusion is never a good thing

    wow

yeah and bill walsh was lucky to have montana

this has got to be one of the more childish, shallow and black and white piece of analysis i have ever witnessed.

bb is the greatest gm and coach in sports history and one of the games greatest ever defensive masterminds

    period

Yeah coaches usually look better if you have better players. As for defense It also helps to grab those impact defenders when your picking at the top end of the draft. Quite amazing to continually compete for Super Bowls when our average draft position has to be in the late 20s. We were lucky to land a wilfork or a Hightower where we did.

If you have to go back more than 1800 years to find a BB losing record I'd say your reaching.

There are two or three other QBs in the league who compare to Brady.

There are two or three other coaches ALL TIME who compare to Belichick.

    Disagree.

You used different parameters for each.

There are no QB's all time who compare to Brady. None.

There are no coaches today who compare with Belichick. There are no GMs today who compare with Belichick.

Disagree completely. Todd Bradley is a much better coach, and Captain Stone is the greatest GM of all time. I don’t know how this could even be debated.

On a game to game, year to year or career to career basis?

Because the same could be said for Brady.

If your using game to game it would depend on which game. If your using year to year it would depend which year. If your using career to career then they're both GOATS.

    Let's play a game.

I will name a Tom Brady contemporary: a similarly successful QB from the same era (post-2001).

You name a Bill Belichick contemporary: a similarly successful coach from the same era.

The first person who cannot give a name loses.

I will go first: Peyton Manning.
