Second of all: I keep asking this and either keep missing the reply or no one knows/cares. Isn't any player we sign from here on out ineligible for the playoff roster? If so, the last thing we need is a guy who is here just long enough to get up to speed before we have to kiss him goodbye for the most important games of the year.

The Patriots signed James Harrison on 12/26 after the Steelers let him go back in 2017. So I don't think there are any issues there.Okay, I must have misinterpreted something somewhere then. Still, to Dez... not really interested.

As for Dez, I'd like to think someone else would have probably explored that route by now and there's a reason he's still out of the league. Although I wonder if the Lions would set Calvin Johnson free...he's only 33 but the question would be whether he had anything left.
We signed Michael Floyd mid December in 2016. I don’t think he played in the playoffs but not for lack of eligibility.
LOL, you're fine. I've had plenty of thoseThank you both, great examples. Clearly this is one of those moments where I was half listening to/reading something, and instead of researching and clarifying I doubled down and decided it was gospel. Lesson learned
Any UFA is free to sign with any team and play in the playoffs. I think the confusion lies in Gronk's November 30 deadline, but that is a different case since Gronk is under contract and didn't report.First of all: No.

I'm not opposed would rather have Dez on the Roster than useless Ryan Izzo but that just me.
Desperate times.
