And again you think one player should not be impacted by bad play all around him. One "certainty" is Vrab and staff are more qualified to make player assessments than you or I. They thought he was good enough to match a $13.5M offer.

You are free to make your own evaluation. If a lb reads a play wrong, gets lost in coverage, can’t get off a block, is too slow reacting, etc, those are his issues and no those things are not impacted by teammates.

Just BTW, I do think that the most likely ILBs for the 53 are a fine set of Spillane, Ellis, Tavai and Gibbens.

If we consider Mapu a safety, then this set of choices is clear, presuming that Tavai is healthy. Tavai is valuable even as a #4 ILB.

I’m okay with that as long as Tavai knows his place.

If he starts thinking it’s his job to put fans in their place he’s a distraction and should be gone.

It's not a distraction if he tells fans to be respectful. It has no bearing on the team. Fans don't mean anything.

FWIW, I've seen Ellis make a few plays so far in camp. Today he had a PBU.

Spillane has made some plays too.

I have yet to notice Gibbens. Sadly haven't noticed Mapu either.

Ellis is a good player IMO, He's one those high effort guys... maybe doesn't have great measurables, but outdoes those.
