Deandre Hopkins Visiting Patriots Next Week

That and a DECADE of getting top 5 picks will get you some pretty good talent.
You got a valid point!! We won for so long.. have to get use to this new life for us.. lol

I have no idea who these guys are, but they say a source "inside the building" of the Patriots says Hopkins is signing with the Patriots. He claims this is an unimpeachable source. Just putting it out there. I have no idea what to make of it. Tyler Siskey is a former Alabama guy so the source could be Mac Jones or Bill O'Brien if true.

OK now this SOUNDS like they know what they are talking about Rob. Do you know anything about McCready and Siskey. Are they former coaches, reporters, or just guys like us?

Like you.. my hope is that he signs sooner rather than later.. we need to see hop, juju and the rest of the offense at full strength to get a gadge on how much better that can be. No other test than going up against our great defense..

I don't think our D will be Great without Jack Jones we really need him this year.

Well I believe they will.. I like Jack and his mentality he brings to playing CB.. I think he will be there.. from what I'm hearing his next court date is Aug 19th.. so he will be in camp.. the team hasn't suspended him I don't believe? The main thing is gonzo he's the #1.. he's the most physical and naturally gifted CB on the roster.

He is the guy that projects to lock up WRs especially bigger physical guys like Wilson for example or lazard.

Guys, stop fighting about Brady, holy crap. And for the love of god just use the damn mute button. You don’t gain any social credits by winning forum arguments.

If you think people solely engage in arguments for “social credits” then I don’t know if you’re a human with any life experience at all. Not saying I approve, but people are gonna people and trying to prevent that is a huge waste of your time. Next up, you should try to prevent dogs from chasing cats, and water from being wet.

Siskey was the Director of Player Personnel for Alabama, but he left after the 2014 season. So he was gone before Jones or O'Brien was there. But of course, he knows Saban and probably Belichick. He was the guy who said the rumor.

I want to know who the source was.

Listening to their accents and their background.
Could it be Bill O’Brien himself?
Or would Mac be foolish enough to leak that kind of news?

I am not sure if Jones knows Siskey since Siskey left Alabama after the 2014 season. The only guy I am pretty sure Siskey would know from his time in Bama is Belichick. Although I tend to doubt Belichick would be telling people this. There may be other guys with ties to Bama from the time he was there.

Not sure I understand what you are saying here. Two posters going back and forth and back and forth for several pages arguing about something (often something that is not even related to the thread topic) and ruining the experience for everyone else is inevitable and the water being wet and we should just let it all go?

Posts can get derailed with just one name or word.

Also, when they go on for too long without an update to discuss, the thread getting derailed is inevitable.

With all do respect, lately I’ve seen you making so many post trying to achieve/police it, that it’s not much better then a bunch of off topic post itself. The difference is, you are spending a lot of your own time trying to do so, and baring banning users ,you’ll most likely never achieve your intended results. This is an Internet forum board after all, not some town hall/senate meeting.

At this point the majority of us are aware of the block/ignore feature, so if it’s really bothering users you shouldn’t have to constantly inform users about off topic posts. If you’re going to take an authoritative tone/ position, the better solution would be to just delete the post themselves.

Agree, people need to just scroll past the post or use the mute buttons. However, that apparently requires too much effort.

100 years of anthropological and sociological research shows that "social credits" is one of the most common reasons people say things, and perhaps the most significant. Status is primary in our psyches.

I am primarily trying to put these warnings out there while Ian’s new thread mute future is not yet available in order to get people’s expectations properly calibrated.

Yawl gonna make me lose my mind up in here up in here

Oh right.... I don't like spending tons on a supposed "True Number One"

But I mean, that's definitely a rooting interest if we get one.

.....and as indicated by several of my past posts, I am ALL in on adding Cooks either as a consolation prize or in a package that brings the pair of them in. Either way, I just wish they'd both go somewhere so we can get back to talking about the player who ARE here. I heard there was some news about Jack Jones.....anyone want fill me in on all the noise?
No. No sir I do not.

They do anything for clout. Anything.

I’m staying cautiously optimistic. Not gonna listen to all the chatter. If it happens, great, if it doesn’t, not gonna be shook up about it.
