IMO we will get spanked by any good team if we are subbing out our starters with only a 14 point lead. Even though it puts our starters back in when the lead drops below 14 points, that is no guarantee that the other team won't score another 7-10 points and end up beating us. Basically 14 points is well within comeback range, and I think it's risky to have it set that low. Plus there is the issue of our starters needing 50 plays to get max experience. If they are getting less than that we will slowly be losing ground against our competition.
I understand where you are coming from about not wanting to have to defend your decisions constantly, and I think for the most part you make very good decisions as our owner, but I really think this current sub out method will come back to bite us. Imagine if the Pats were playing [insert good team here] and pulled the starters after gaining a 14 point lead.
100% agree. I do think 14 points it a little early to let up.
