It's a tough one to correct, because if you sub based on score, you run a major risk of failing to get your starters the necessary PT if they initiate a blowout. If you don't sub out based on score, you run the risk over over-playing your starters. Ideally, GLB will institute a 'sub-based-on-plays' function of some sort, so that once a starter has logged 50 snaps, you transition over to some other kind of subbing mechanism. For now, though, I think we just have to collectively decide on one or the other, rather than making an issue out of it week after week.

In that case do we put as many backups as possible on Special Teams to get them snaps? I assume yes.

Next game is against a half-decent team and then 3 in a row against top seeds. If you've been waiting to boost, now might be the time.

Well, as far as wide receivers go, the starters got about 70 snaps this past game. My backup dude? 33, where he'd been averaging about 45-50 a game. I think I prefer subouts by score, but maybe it can be adjusted to 17 or 21. Whatever's best for the team, I guess.

Beyond that, great game! These next four are really going to be interesting.

Yeah, this is the only reason why I decided you guys were right about the sub-outs thing. I liked the idea of our backups getting a lotta snaps too but eventually we're going to need our highest-level guys in there the most so I changed it back.

What I'm really stymied by is what to do at TE and other places where we have guys within 1-2 levels of each other. Do we split the snaps and have them level equally or do we just play a high-stakes game of paper rock scissors and name one the starter for the rest of the season so that we have a starting TE who is like L16 and a backup who is L14 instead of 2 L15 guys.

Like I seriously don't know the answer.

ohh, man fnord...

i defenetely see ur dillemma there

and i dont know the answer either, other then that, backups, b/c they play less, can train better, in actuality gain XP at a pretty considerable rate, compared to the starters

now for your question.....do u have a coin handy? LOL

Well I only had 1 tackle, mostly because they completely disregarded the running game. I did get a hurry that led to an INT though

Has anyone noticed that we have:

* Lost the only game we've had against elite opposition (Newcastle)

and

* Only beaten 2 winning teams (Auckland, Emerald City)

Judging from this level of competition, it's safe to say we don't really know how good our team is. We'll find out soon enough since there are no more scrubs left in the schedule. There's the 8-4 team we have next, which we should beat, and then 3 games against the elite of the elite.

I'm pumped. I think we'll surprise a few of those teams. :rocker:

Being 11-1 with the only loss being a 1 point loss is pretty good.

Also I just saw tonight that my RB is leading the league in rushing yards. Not bad considering we went a number of games at a 65/35 pass/run ratio and have only had 1 game with a higher than 50% run ratio as I recall.

You guys used to have a player on ur team named Ms. Pacman Jones, the username was aeslop or something, was there any issues with him, I about to trade for him and I want to know what type of player he is

Carabao was 5-1 when we played them. Sydney was in good shape until we kicked them into a 4 game tailspin. Even the S.O.S rankings have us 2nd-3rd in the league. I agree, though, that it'll be interesting to see if we can take 2 of the 3 big games (Canberra, Tongan, Brisbane)

If it helps, my guy is Benjamin Walter, the sometimes backup sometimes starting TE, and I don't really have much preference if it winds up helping the team overall. So long as I get snaps on special teams I'm OK.

Also, I've noticed that since we only have 2 TE on the roster now, up until the last game, both guys got quite a bit of playing time, so we were able to level up pretty evenly regardless of who the official starter is.

That said, I think it's interesting that, overall, Walter rates out as a better player than Smug Deed, who is a level higher. It must be an equipment thing. So in this case there are 3 choices: we can play the better overall player, play the higher level, or play for depth. I'm OK with any of them.

Cool. Thanks to you I went to check and noticed that my boy Slay also rates better overall than some higher level players (guys only one level higher, but still). It makes me feel less bad about being the lowest level starter on the team. I'd *like* to think it's because I haven't wasted any skill points in useless stuff, so every single skill point has counted for me.

Now if I could just get my hands on a credit card that GLB liked (I live in Panama and most American websites don't get along with Panamanian credit cards) I would be lv16 at the end of the regular season.

Regarding the TE situation. I think the best overall player should start. If levels are the same, special equipment and their build could put one player over the top.

Have you tried it with paypal? GLB accepts paypal for flex points.

Jeez, sorry about the lost fumble. I set my carrying tactics to 'power' so I wonder if that cost me. Putting points in to 'cover up' next level.

But a win is a win. Thanks for carrying me.

Just read through this thread, and it seems quite fun. I created a guy, if you could use him, please send me an invite!

Red Sneed, DE.

Yeah big D! Another great game!

Also I'm wondering if having high level for tackling allows you to switch from wrap up to causing more fumbles. I don't want to try it with 3 big games then the playoffs coming up, but Pio is somewhere around 40 for tackling, which may allow a switch to try and cause more fumbles. Any opinions?

Everything I've read is that tackling is a waste of points right now. If you set to wrap up and have ~20 in tackling you'll miss between 1-2 tackles a season. This is confirmed by multiple people on another site for my other team.

I don't know the answer to your exact question, though. Force fumbles is a scary setting.

Cool! We really need a backup DE!

Nice game guys, that was a tougher one than I expected. Dunno what I should have done different tactics-wise. I changed up how much running up the middle and the outside we did, normally we have a higher percentage one way. I left our passing settings the same... Maybe we're getting figured out on offense?

Good thing our defense is Godly.
