Waiving a player =/= placing on IRThat can't be right though. Otherwise teams would get their top players snatched away.

At this point wouldn't Hollister know Brady better? He's been around longer, and most of Derby's time here was spent in the Garoppolo/Brissett offense.IF Derby is an upgrade over Jacob Hollister I would claim him. Derby has other things going for him too...he knows Brady and our Offense.

True. "Waived/injured" means that the player automatically reverts to IR if he goes unclaimed. So, maybe the Donks just don't care if he gets claimed.
I just want to know what is the benefit. Gotta be something. Cap savings?
Yes I'm aware of this, which is why I asked what is the difference between the two designations. waived/injured and placing a player on IR.
Wait where are all those guys screaming BB screwed up by trading this guy.
Bill used the pick from that trade to get Gillislee. Who was a healthy scratch last week and who has looked underwhelming, especially considering his salary. Neither team got much out of this trade.
If he is claimed he is off your payroll and salary cap.I just want to know what is the benefit. Gotta be something. Cap savings?
Once a Bengal, always a Bengal. Even if they're a Dolphin.
I'm not giving up on Gill.
Maybe he has a injury we are not aware of.
