The New England Patriots enter a pivotal offseason. Coming off an uncharacteristically early playoff exit, they have to deal with Tom Brady’s impending free agency.
Over the weekend, NFL Network’s
Ian Rapoport reported that the Patriots are willing to pay $30 million a year to bring the 42-year-old Brady back. Rapoport also indicated that Brady wants New England’s assurance that they will upgrade his offensive weapons before he potentially re-signs with them. The Patriots’ lack of dynamic offensive talent proved costly throughout the 2019 season.
