Bills looking to trade... Themselves! So What Becomes of the AFC-East?

So aside from wondering how they are going to address the name issue (The LA Bills?) Which team would/should take the Bills spot in the AFC East?

The Los Angeles Bison bump the St. Louis Rams out of the NFC West, and the Rams move into the AFC East.

The Bills sold out seven of eight games this year and have sold out 15 of their last 16 home games. They have ranked in the top 10 13 times in the last 15 seasons.... The only game not to sellout this year was the Halloween battle with the Cardinals.

Again, a town who fills 71,800 seats a game, for a bad team, does not deserve to have it's team given away to Mexicans!

What constitutes a sellout? I was at the Bills-Pats game in December and there were plenty of empty seats in my section. Is that just a case of ticket-holders not showing up when it's reeeeally cold?

There are a lot of teams that probably could move - but ask yourself the following questions.

Is it likely the Bill's owner will pass away in the near future?

Is it likely the team will be sold once that happens?

When the Bills are sold, is it more likely that the new owner will respect history and accept the fact that his team is destined to be among the least profitable franchises?

Or will the new owner strongly consider moving to a major city with major corporate sponsorship opportunities to maximize profit on his new investment in his team?


Indeed, I have a tough time imaging a scenario where a new owner of the Bills actually KEEPS the team in Buffalo. History is nice but I don't see the other NFL owners, after dealing with all these profit sharing issues for this CBA forcing another team owner to accept a low profit situation.

That's not really the point. It all comes down to the money, and the support. Buffalo has some of the most loyal fans in football. That means something. As for building a new stadium, I don't get it. Why do they need to build a new stadium? They just redid the stadium a few years ago. It's not like they need more luxury boxes. The stadium is perfectly fine.

As for the fan who went to the Patriot-Buffalo game, I was shocked at how many fans showed up that day. It was freezing cold, with lots of snow, and driving icicles in the face in the 4th quarter.

Well, I guess they can say at least they made it there, and only New England, Denver, Dallas, SF, Pittsburgh, Miami and Washington have made it there more often.

Buffalo is a dump and a horrible market, however it's not going to happen, there's just too much history. The Los Angeles Bills...yikes.
