I only used the ignore list for Rusty/Stevenson/whatever other name he went by last time he was here.

I remember Stevenson blaming Brady for Super Bowl 52. Yikes.

Where did he go anyway? Called me a pandemic denier and then disappeared when I called him out for lying.

almost as if you and U of F want the Pats to lose just so you can bring that up over and over again...
Zero of us want the Pats to lose but carry on.

I think Ian banned him.

Timmy Brady the hotshot lawyer is back huh?

U of F keeps bringing up Belichick's record without Brady repeatedly for no reason in a number of threads..more than anyone on this board. I think he enjoyed watching NE lose this past season so he can troll.

As far as my football knowledge, I'm not an expert and I've never acted like one. But I choose to work hard on things that actually improve my life. I didn't want to end up at a school like U of F and work in Jacksonville. Therefore, I chose a different path for my life.

So what team do I follow, if it's not this one? And why on earth would you go to Chiefs planet and post before the super bowl over a game in which your team is not even playing? That is, unless you're a Bucs fan...And btw, do you want me to re-post the homophobic and disgusting comments you made about Jackson Mahomes on that board?

As far as U of F, I'm glad you found a single ranking where it is considered decent, but Princeton Review rankings aren't worth a damn. Only the US News rankings are the ones the vast majority of recruiters use. Face it, your school is not an academic powerhouse and is only known for its football team. It's certainly not something that I would be proud of, but whatever, it's not my life.

Your obsession with UVA rankings and putting down every other college on a football forum is telling. How do you think you come across to the posters that didn't go to college for whatever reasons they had. Like an elitist deuchebag. Also:

"This is not the first time in recent years bad data was reported to U.S. News. George Washington University in 2012 and Tulane University in 2013 admitted they supplied erroneous information, while Temple University's business school drew national attention this year after officials admitted that incorrect data intentionally were submitted to U.S. News for several years."

Jim Jump, the academic dean and director of college counseling at St. Christopher's School in Richmond, Va., wrote last year that "it's time to ask whether the U.S. News & World Report college rankings should be considered fake news." He argued that the rankings assume a college's value "consists in the name brand ... rather than the college experience," and that rankings can't measure the quality of the educational experience.

Recruiters know what they are doing. There probably is some manipulation by a number of schools but the elite schools (top 15 or so) have been consistent for decades. No point in going to anything ranked less than that. Does that make me an elitist? I guess so. I wouldn't go to a school ranked less even if they gave a full scholarship.

More interesting and revealing facts... the descriptive words are imo.

DVOA (Defense-adjusted Value Over Average) is the main statistic used on Football Outsiders. It breaks down the entire season play-by-play, comparing success on each play to the league average based on a number of variables including down, distance, location on field, current score gap, quarter, and opponent quality. In all cases, 0% represents league-average. A positive DVOA represents a situation that favors the offense, while a negative DVOA represents a situation that favors the defense. In most years, the best and worst offenses tend to rate around ± 30%, while the best and worst defenses tend to rate around ± 25%.

1) You can see the offensive jump from 2000 with Bledsoe (-7.5% with a ranking of 21) to 2001 with Brady (3.4% with a ranking of 11).

2) The only 2 seasons when the offense finished below the league average were 2000 (Bledsoe) and 2020 (Newton). Every season with Brady the offense finished above the league average.

3) From the record setting 2007 season, when the offense set an all-time best DVOA of 43.5%, they dropped precipitously in 2008 with a DVOA of 12.5% (a difference of 31% which alone would have been higher than any other team's percentage of 2007 and 2008). The second best offensive DVOA of all-time was set by the 2010 Patriots at 42.2%. Both seasons (2007 & 2010) being MVP seasons for Brady.

4) In 18 seasons with Brady the offense finished top-10 in 15 seasons, top-5 in 11 seasons, top-3 in 8 seasons, and top-1 in 5 seasons.
In those same 18 seasons the defense finished top-10 in 4 seasons, top-5 in 2 seasons, top-3 in 2 seasons, and top-1 in 1 season.

5) In 18 seasons with Brady the offense finished with a higher ranking DVOA than the defense in all but 2 seasons (2003 & 2019). Football Outsiders ranked the Patriots 2019 schedule as the easiest in the NFL (based on the average DVOA of opponents). Their opponents total DVOA (offense & defense) was -5.9% while only 1 other team's opponents were worse than -4.0%.

2019 Strength of Schedule by Total DVOA of All Opponents (negative score reflects easier):

Patriots -5.9%
Colts -4.4%
Bills -4.0%
Titans -3.9%
Jets -3.5%

6) Not reflected in the table, however Tampa Bay improved significantly in offensive DVOA from 2019 (-7.3% with a ranking of 21) to 2020 (19.8% with a ranking of 3). From 2007 to 2008 the Patriots dropped by 5 wins, again this was the case for the 2020 Patriots, whereas the Bucs improved by 4 wins from 2019 to 2020. Considering the significantly changed DVOA with or without Brady, it's reasonable to assume he accounts for a large portion of the win/loss differential.

Leaving out strength of schedule, adding or removing Brady has impacted win/loss totals as follows: +6 wins 2001, +5 losses 2008, +5 losses 2020 NE, and +4 wins 2020 TB. Brady is generally worth a net gain of 5 wins per initial season. Also on each occasion his impact has added his team to the postseason (2001 & 2020 TB) or removed them (2008 & 2020 NE).

This information pretty much supports what I was saying about Brady that he wasn't elite between 2001-2003. Look at the DVOA rankings. Other than 2019 where Brady played like crap (at least for him), the offense's three worst rankings were in 2001-2003 (in 2001 and 2003 by significant amounts). And the offense didn't crack the top ten in 2001 or 2003 and barely did in 2002. But the offense jumped to 3rd in 2004.

It also supports my assertion that in 2003 the defense carried the team and the offense was just average. The defense was ranked 2 while the offense was ranked 14.

But of course the DVOA is going to make a massive jump from Bledsoe to Brady. Bledsoe sucked in the Patriots' offense. You put any average QB who fit the Patriots' system and the DVOA would have improved. Maybe not nearly as much as it did with Brady, but it would have improved.

Well this puts a damper on Team Bill's argument that it was largely Belichick's defenses that carried the team. 2017 was such a waste of a season, could've had a 3-peat if not for that defense.

So Bill's defense had nothing to do with them winning in 2018? You know, with Brady having 2 TDs and 3 INTs in the playoffs that year and all...

Timmy (bottom) attempts to demonstrate superiority of UVA over UF by laughably asserting that one’s alma mater means something.

Ummmm.... The Patriots' defense was ranked second best in 2003 according to the DVOA while the offense was ranked 14th best. Based on the DVOA alone, it pretty proves the defense carried the offense in 2003 to 14 wins and the Super Bowl.

More like you when you think about your hero Lord Brady...
@KontradictioN is correct, you have the lamest, weak sauce come backs on the forum. School yard "i know what u r but what am i" crap.

Certainly nothing even a bad attorney would use. Except for the length of your membership, I wondered if you were a teenager. Which leads to the obvious question: is he on the spectrum?

Your willingness to proclaim yourself on this forum as being from the "Upper Crust" and being "elitist," just confirms your delusional, insecure, narcissistic personality.

That's why undoubtedly you are the forum's "King Pendejo." LMAO
