I know the NFL is talking about relaxing the helmet rules this year, but they would probably make him wear something Patriots related.....

I think I just heard APFs head explode.

John Lynch apparently has paid more attention to the patriots Brady-led dynasty than patriot fans have, and realizes the way to be the best team is to try to have the best QB.

So when will our CURRENT FO pay attention to the patriots Brady-led dynasty and realize the way to be the best team is to try to have (keep) the best QB.

Apparently he wasn't paying very close attention to the Patriots Dynasty because he traded away his high end draft picks for the next few years
Because he was paying attention and knows they don’t mean crap if you don’t have the QB
In hindsight how many picks do you think Brady would have been traded for?

Lynch sees the value of the QB, mostly from our example.

Keeping Brady wasn’t really a realistic option.
hopefully tonight they make the move they need to

Cue the "It wAs ImPoSsIbLe To sIgN hIm CuZ tHe CaP" crowd...many of the same people who stanned all offseason about Stidham and then Cam and tried a premature victory dance after Week 1.

If Rodgers wanted to win the Pats would be on his list. Maybe that tells us all we need to know.

No way would Fraudgers want to be on Brady's ex team and compete with his legacy.

(3) AR wants to win, realizes that more than one team can put him into contention, and doesn't want to play in NE/on the east coast.
Yes. Of course. But I was replying to someone who was suggesting that by not including NE it might « say something » about his desire to win... I don’t see NE in such high regard atm. They COULD be a good team, but it surely isn’t a given.

There is only one Aaron Rodgers trade I can see happening, Rodgers to Seattle for Russell Wilson. Rodgers gets out of Green Bay to a players coach, and Wilson goes back to Wisconsin.

I don't think it's from our example. I think it's learned from years of experience. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to know who steers the ship.

Even just having a viable QB. We had no backup plan and picked up someone from the scrap heap.

Well we are the shining example. Im
not talking about copying I’m saying he sees it a lot of patriots fans who lived it, don’t.

Are you really going to argue with someone who just claimed keeeping Brady "wasn't really a realistic option"?

Team Bill is a cult.

Talented Prima Donna with a penchant for going off script and throwing team-mates under the bus; hmmmm.

I mean at some level I understand last year. There was no money to sign a legit an with.
You figure with newton you could play defense, run the ball and not ask much from him and still be competitive. But he was soooo bad. Worse than anyone could have expected, even those like me who knew he would suck. He was even a lot worse than I expected.
Doing it all over again is bordering on organizational negligence.

GB is not going to trade for a QB. The whole situation arguably started when they drafted Love. If they trade Rodgers, they’ll play Love.

Maybe they trade Love to make Rodgers happy?

"Organizational Negligence!!!! and Kraft is getting indicted for Orchids Of Asia!!! I'll dislike anyone who disagrees!!!! 3 first round picks for #4 or Belichick is an idiot!!!"

I'm not a big fan of Rodgers...and it isn't just a "he's the enemy" thing like with LeBron, where I can just acknowledge I hate LeBron because of the damage he's laid to the Celtics and other annoyances that all superstars because they have a microscope.

The strange thing about Rodgers is I think I actually like him, to some degree, as a person. He has some flaws, but he seems to be one of the more genuine people in terms of not caring much what others think about him...and more than that, he's kind of a loner, a guy who just isn't a friendly midwesterner, and he has insecurities like all of us.

What I think the problem is: his personality is simply not a fit as a jock, alpha male, a guy who can relate to others...he's a very smart guy and I think overly analytical and also extremely sensitive...qualities that aren't necessarily bad on their own but just don't fit in well in leading a football team and being one of the most famous people in the world. I just think this guy hates being famous...which I admire...but I think a lot of these qualities do actualliy lead to poor leadership and also some extreme selfishness.

I'd embrace a trade for Rodgers...I just think the chance to land an all-time great QB is so rare and hard to do that you need to jump at it. The alternative is always worse. He has some big flaws and is no Tom Brady, but he sure is good.

Hates being famous?
