It's easy, and only takes a few moments. It was a pipe dream to think the guy who embarrassed his new team by writing his resignation on a napkin and blindsiding everyone at his first press conference was going to leave amicably. He was never going to make this easy. And in fairness, if he's getting canned, he shouldn't. It's business.Patriots Rumors: Robert Kraft's 'Preference' For Bill Belichick Exit
Patriots owner Robert Kraft reportedly has a preference for how a potential Bill Belichick New England exit would go down.nesn.com
I’m now of the mind that Kraft should fire BB now.
Bill has all the leverage…he’ll just half-ass it out of spite.
If you won’t be able to get comp, and it’s going to get ugly anyway, why keep this up?
Bill seems the type to spite Kraft by not showing for future ceremonies anyway, so just get it over with.
The Chargers are seriously in contention for worst defense we played along with the Giants and Washington. They are 28th in yards and 24th in ppg. What's more they are actually the 31st ranked team in passing defense. You can crap on Mac all you want because he isn't good... but Zappe just played an absymal defense and got shut out. Mac's only got shutout once in the last 3 seasons and it was to the Saints who are ranked 10th in yards, 9th in ppg and are the 6th best passing defense.
So that's your comparison. Everyone who wanted Zappe to get first team reps and have a week where he was the known starter and was all prepared got a huge gift in getting to see him play one of the ****tiest defenses in the NFL that have found ways to lose week after week. What's more, they got a gift of getting to see him agianst the 2nd worst passing defense in the league. The result was he needed 7 points to win and got 0. We were plagued by all the same problems we were the whole year with the pocket collapsing, the QB getting sacked, WR drops, etc.
This wasn't some vindication of all the Zappe truthers or that Mac would have done worse. Historically Mac actually had a much better chance to win this game. So I'm kinda glad he was benched.
Sorry meant 2013 and 2012 those offenses were pretty top heavy15 not 14? That was the season with that weird Steven Jackson game…
Oh it's hilarious. So many of the plays this game you could find a comp for something that happened earlier in the season and it would look almost one to one the same. Funny how now those people are noticing that the talent sucks alot.I still think it is funny that the some of the same people who claimed the offensive personnel was fine and it was just Mac making them look bad are now trying to say Zappe was really good today, but he has no one who can catch the ball or could block for him. As if when they benched Mac, they also benched all the good players around him who were really good at the same time.
Zappe was awful in the first half. He had times he played really well in the second half, but fell apart at the end of the game. He did something much better than Mac. He did others much worse. Overall all he was bad, but not awful. Still not good enough to score a single point against a bad defense and he is about to face one of the best defenses in the league on Thursday.
Staley shouldn't have even been the coach this season. On another note, how badly coached are the Chargers? That team, on paper, should be so much better.

I'm ok with spending 3-5 all on T, with hopefully resigning Onwenu. I also see Sow and Mafi being relevant next year.
Eric Rowe's poor play resulted in 10 points alone. He got his ankles broken on a 3rd down conversation which led to a field goal and then gave up a long TD. He was quickly taken off of Jeffery after that. You could maybe argue 2013 or 2014 more than that one. I don't think Butler would've helped as much as people think in 2017
Bill's old, probably over the hill as an NFL coach but we shouldn't look back and give him credit for what he did in his prime years, it's about respect, maybe he's on too long and a change would be good but those 20 years sure were fun.we'll never know but I suspect discussion about said topic will get the ire of a certain cadre of IBWT fools on Patsfans
Was that the worst game of all time??
I know the D played well today and has been solid this season. Something positive to build on!Man... the defense has to be pissed. Allowing an average of 8.6 points over the last 3 weeks, but the offense is scoring an average of 4.3 points per week in the same period... so they're 0-3.
I’m not one to agitate or cause drama intentionally, but I’m also not one to let what others think influence wether to ask fair and critical questions either.we'll never know but I suspect discussion about said topic will get the ire of a certain cadre of IBWT fools on Patsfans
True. Zappe never got our hopes up on any drives, so no dramatic disappointment. Just fizzle after fizzle.Even though Zappe threw a bunch of awful passes and failed to get rid of the ball several times and failed to score even a single point it was better than watching Jones.
