Sleep is for losers tonight. Herbert is tough as nails. Hope Gonzo is okay to lockdown Metcalf next week (willing us to play ****sbugh)

IF Gonzo is back and IF we continue to build on the performance tonight, I think we could hold both Pitt and Hou scoreless.

The defense showed a flare today that it hadn't since the injuries started. That was encouraging to see

THE CHARGERS DEFENSE PLAYED A FINE GAME
They kept one the best offenses in league to 16 points and gave the ball to their offense with a short field at least a couple of times.

This team is giving me 2001 vibes. That year we were the underdog and so are we this year. Even though we won 14 games in the regular season, no one takes us seriously! Hopefully we prove them wrong every week!!!!

Unfortunately, this win is also invalidated since the Chargers were the 7th seed, had a terrible OL with 25-30 different combinations, had to travel across the country, their QB was banged up, they wore their powder blue uniforms & it was below 40 degrees which isn’t fair to a Cali team…we’ll have to prove that we’re legit again next week..
And the next two games after that…

I’m okay with that.

I will just offer a mea culpa. I thought we had to win on offense and a game in the teens wouldnt favour us. The defense proved me wrong. I love these wins more than the offensive ones although they are more nerve wracking.
I also always try to think what the other team couldve done and frankly they were outcoached and their OC didnt do anything at all to change things up like go no huddle, stop pats from substituting , do a shorter passing game . They possibly thought they will win on defense. i would be mad as a charger fans that they have 3 700 yard WRs and they didnt give themselves a better chance

Postgame trying to start **** about Diggs only having two catches. **** Michael Holley

The Pats have the late Sunday game next week.

This is dumb. On one of the fumbles he was throwing it away and it slipped out of his hand, and on the other he took the sack but it was knocked out.

Maye has made plays by escaping the rush all year. If you are saying he should learn to not avoid the rush you are saying we shouldn’t have this big plays he created and we would have been about 7-10

You are like the guy who had a car accident once in 20 years and decides driving was a terrible idea.
He held the ball for too long and we were driving and cost us at the bare minimum 3 pts where pts were at a premium lol I also said he was money in the second half so not all criticism....just would like him to be more careful with the balls. Turnovers become magnified in the postseason

I’m saying what they would PREFER, you’re arguing what happens. That’s not the same thing. Just because games get scheduled earlier during the year isn’t proof that that’s what fans would prefer. The fact that most games skew towards being scheduled later than earlier shows that’s the preference of the region.
What games skew towards being scheduled later?

How would you know what they prefer? Why would they prefer normalcy?
If you live in LA games start at 10 am and end at 4. Football fans Sunday’s end at 4 and they have the rest of the day. You are saying after that bring the norm, evidently just in order to argue, they would rather have their game time be more like what people on the east coast are used to and have it interfere with dinner time.

On top of all of this, you are arguing that the scheduling decision should be based upon this made up dynamic AND the league should choose to favor the 5seed road team.

I think the NFL changed the rules that if the Overhead Doctor calls it down, the player has to go to the locker-room to be evaluated by the Independent Neurologist. Personally, it's BS since it takes the player out for an extended period while they go back inside to get tested.

To be fair, it was pretty clear that Gonzalez came up groggy from that (outstanding) play. I was surprised they didn’t take him to the tent sooner.

I've always held belief that a good, solid defense has about 20-23 points of leeway. Anything below 20 is a very good performance in the modern NFL.

I meant imagine being the Chargers, I'd imagine they anticipated a lot more zone coverage. IIRC, the Pats played nearly 70% of snaps in zone this year.

I know what you meant. The Pats MAN to MAN Coverage was significantly better than their ZONE coverage. I know they played some zone, but I didn't think it was 70%.

You mean there is a chance I can be a top poster for 5 minutes.

Until I now hav3 to get dressed for ‘work’. At 06:05 for me.
Damn. I think there is a minimum. Still says no top posters
