I wonder if that would change if Cinn upsets Buff this week. Burrow is 2-0 vs Buf in his career and Higgins is back practicing....
Gonna enjoy watching a bunch of teams lose this weekend.

Certainly Buffalo won’t be looking past Cinci to our game right?

I’m sure they’ll do to Cinci what they did to Miami.

Watch this - big focus on "Tay" (who is apparently Mapu) as key blocker:

Big-ass hole for him to get started too... Very poor job of spacing by the Vagiants coverage team there.

Haven't seen this mentioned anywhere either; so... BrendEn Who?

11 wins won't get them in??!!
That's ****ing absurd

Didn't get us in in 2008, though only 6 teams made the POs then...

There could be a 9 win Cincy team in the playoffs.

A 9-win Seattle team defeated the defending champions in the POs the following year... In Seattle admittedly... And if the Bungles do win the division then that almost assuredly means that neither Bawlmore nor ****tsdirt did; and that suits me just fine.

I’d say 2004 was when his style started changing with the addition of Corey Dillon opening up the passing game. This carried over in 2005 and 2006. But it was in 2007 when he unlocked God mode.

IMO dealing with the subpar of talent in 2006 combined with the influx of talent in 2007 unlocked God/TFB mode.

They could beat the brakes off Buff this weekend if they choose to show up, imo. I predict their defense is gonna **** the bed again, as they've had a few games in a row of solid performance and they tend to remind us that they mostly suck, but hey - I'd love for them to have another day and for their offense to hang about 45 on Buffalo.

Burrow is one frustrating QB. He's among the best QB's in the game....when he plays. Nobody should be shocked if he slices up Buffalo's trash D this weekend. He may do NE a solid this weekend which make it almost impossible for Buffalo to win the division with a loss.

I was never a Carter fan, didn't think a part-time WR/part-time CB merited that high a pick. Pats got the best fit of talent/need possible at #4 (though I did have Tyler Warren and Jalon Walker graded higher than Campbell).

Campbell's mental makeup is a perfect fit for Mike Vrabel.
I wanted Campbell. But if not him, Warren looked really good.

If Lowe plays like that for the rest of the season, this LT who so many here wanted banished, would likely bring a good trade return if the Pats were willing to move him.

3rd rounder?

Of course, if he plays that well he would be worth keeping as the backup.
Isn’t he in the last year of his rookie deal this year?

EDIT: I’m late to the party. I see Cap and Andy already pointed that out.

The schedule next year assuming the Pats win the division:
Home:
  • Buffalo Bills
  • Denver Broncos
  • Green Bay Packers
  • Las Vegas Raiders
  • Miami Dolphins
  • Minnesota Vikings
  • New York Jets
  • AFC North (Ravens?)
Away:
  • Buffalo Bills
  • Chicago Bears
  • Detroit Lions
  • Kansas City Chiefs
  • Los Angeles Chargers
  • Miami Dolphins
  • New York Jets
  • AFC South (Jax?)
  • NFC West (Rams?)
8-5 isn't bad at all against a schedule like this.
after looking at this, I realize I want the Seahawks to win the division. If we have to play the NFC West away (assuming we win the division ) then I would love for them to come to Seattle. It is right next door to Vancouver. I would go to that game. I went to their game in 2012, I was planning on going in 2020 but that was the year of COVID...that place is insane and loud but a lot of fun even for opposing fans, Seahawk fans are pretty cool , at least the ones I have met and Vancouver is full of them. We nearly won that game but then Brady threw two inexplicable INT's , one straight into Richard Sherman's hand !!!!

That's what happened in 2008.

There's still technically a small chance at 11 wins for all the other games to break against them.

The AFCN is so trash that getting to 10 wins guarantees the division for the Ratbirds. . . . So whoever doesn't win it is almost definitely out altogether.

There was a 7-9 NFC team that made it..

I think that is way too early to think about that. Let have play 2 or 3 good games in a row. He was bad last year. Consistency is the key.
Last year he was actually a solid pass blocker on tape, absolutely terrible run blocker. Did not watch this game on tape so unclear how his run blocking was.

I did read a quote from Lowe about how the coaches told him the Giants rushers like to rush outside and then quickly cut inside so they told him to not overreact to the outside move and he said that worked well. Apparently coaching makes a difference.
