Packing my bags tonite for my flight to London tomorrow night.

Anyone have any intel on
- when team gets there?….
- Any practice facilities laid on? … (maybe some royal‘s garden instead of Hyde Park this time. lol)
My advice: give the meat pies a pass: no discernible flavor whatsoever. Think Curry.

Joey Slye: the Brits’ favorite Patriot.
Oh man, im bracing myself for alot of embarrassment this season. But the one thing i truly wanna avoid is seeing Mac come in for whatever reason and light us up for a win. With our defense it wouldn’t be shocking either
Oh, man. I wish you hadn’t implanted that idea.

I’m thinking the Hudson optimism was misplaced. That’s twice now that they’ve signed a guy off waivers who jumped ahead of him within the week.

Got to be at least even money that Lecitus ends up playing the way this year has gone

One difference is that Brown and Smith were both signed off of practice squads from other teams to the 53, so they have to be on the roster for at least 3 weeks. Hudson signed directly to the practice squad, and he has already been elevated once, so they may be seeking to preserve that elevation…

… That’s the most charitable way to view it I can think of though. In all likelihood, it seems to me like they weren’t too impressed at this stage and are now seeking new options. Though if Brown continues to look as good as he did last week, it’ll mostly be moot.

People thought he'd be good. Turns out he was just Sow-Sow.

If he needed more time he could have stayed on the pup. They could have used more of the practice window. Unfortunately I don't think we are going to get a lot from Bourne.
I expect that the Pats are going to bench Polk this game over his poor performance and commentary this week which means I think we are looking at a lot more KB snaps.

Unfortunately I am travelling for most of the day and will probably miss the game. Happy watching everyone and hopefully another positive step for Maye and the team.

Gasper and Murray at 630am Sunday morning is a bit different. I'm used to listening to them on Saturday afternoons while working in the yard. I feel for those in Hawaii. 0330 is a bit early to get up for football.

No one in Hawaii is getting up that early for this barnburner of a game. Two 1-5 teams duking it out? The only people who are going to watch this are the hardcore gambling/fantasy addicts and the people in the the two markets.

Possible, but goes counter to the Mayo comment to "play the young guys and see what we have this year" comment.

We don't have the depth of talent to compete vs the better teams on our schedule... Bur Jacksonville isn't one the better teams... I thought they might be going into this year, but like most years they just can't put it together...

Looking for a competitive game... Despite all our flaws, I would be disappointed if we don't win...

Looking forward to watching Drake Maye... After he leveled out last week, he really made some nice throws...hope that helps with the 8 in the box scheme defenses routinely employ against us... Given some of the throws he made we should be able to stretch the field a bit... As long as our most glaring weakness, pass pro, can hold up... I don't think Jacksonville has a good rush, so there is hope... But Maye needs to do better with the turnovers... The short fields just kill Covingtons defense...

Maye will also be helped by the the return of rham... Least I think he's going to play... Mayo said game time decision but he did travel with the team... He is the best offensive weapon we have... I like Gibson, but rham is better... despite his fumbling, we are better with him than without... Just needs to not fumble the damn ball

Defensively we need to get some kind of pass rush going... We are really feeling the loss of weedboy Barmore and Judon, with no ability to create sustained pressure... Not sure if it's entirely a talent problem or if it's conceptual... The cover 2 zone we have been seeing a lot of is leaky, letting the QBs get the ball out quickly... Top that off with the repeated loss of containment, and it's ugly... When they let the QB step into a throw on a broken play, things haven't ended well for us this year...
This game is going to tell a lot about the Jags, who have really underachievers this year. I would hate for them to put it together against a Team like ours but it's not far fetched. That said we are in a Rebuild year and they were built to contend: sometimes a season just don't go as we originally thought.

Watch that LSU WR First Round selection Brian Thomas Jr, really polished Rookie he should be a handful for any CB who guards him exciting player.

Still a bloody hour and a half to go. Are they going to play freed from desire after the game??
