Hosting AFCC game

Kinda crazy.

The 5, 6 and 7 seeds have a better record than the 4th seed Pitt who will host a playoff game.
Oddly enough it happens more than you think....sometimes even worse. In 2008 the 11-5 Patriots did NOT even qualify for the playoffs while the 8-8 Chargers were HOSTING a playoff game.

I recall missing the post season.

NFL needs to wipe divisions out so teams don't inflate their records playing bad teams in their division twice. I also don't want to see 35% of their schedule dedicated to the same teams yearly. Too many bad teams are sneaking in the playoffs because they play in a crappy division. Just have an AFC and NFC. It's that simple.

I really think its goofy that us fans are like do you think they tank so they can play XX. I think that teams are going to rest important guys as needed to improve their chances. I really do not think teams put the thought into lets lose this one because it means we will play the easier team, only to play a tougher team later.

I think these are scenarios that we make up and put them on the teams. lol

That and alot of players have incentives to play for as well

ROFL
Yes, the patriots and bills have gotten in the playoffs partly because of having such a crappy division.
============
Getting rid of divisions would greatly reduce interest when you local team no longer has a chance of getting into the playoffs. It is really just that simple. Interest = viewers = money
===========
The need is to have MORE interest by fans in games late in the season.
==========
Many, many teams are not knocked out until very late in the season resulting in more interest by their fans. And, then there is the obvious: winning the division means having a home playoff game. How many teams would have almost no chance of a home game by say Week 11?
=========
Getting rid of divisions won't happen. More fan interest and more money matters, as should be the case.
