Don't get me wrong, I absolutely think @One-If-By-Sea has a point and a veteran makes sense ... I'm just not a Mayfield fan. But I agree, would be good to see them bring someone in at the right price to play ahead of whoever else they might potentially draft.

He didn't intend to, but since their bye in 2021,(*) he's completely broken this offense. It's basically too late in the season to do anything, and if the purpose is to see if, say, Mayo could be "the guy," it's not really long enough. At this point I think the only question is if he can convince Kraft that the injuries were severe enough to give him one more chance, but I think everyone knows that big changes are needed on the "staff" side, not just the roster.

(*)I take that point because the Patriots were the #1 seed in the AFC at that point. Yes, some of the seeds were planted even further back than that, but if you polled Pats nation during the 2021 bye week, asking where they'd be two years later, I don't think even 1 percent would've said "worst team in the AFC."

At least the d is encouraging. They were helped with a couple big drops, but played well enough to win yet again. Add judon and Gonzalez next year (and ekuale whos another underrated loss). Excited for that.

The offense is bad enough for that top 3 pick, should be at #2 once the az pitt game commences. Rham had it going again until the injury. Parker had a decent game 2nd week in a row.

Barringer had a game. Coverage did break down though leading to 3 pts. So st contributed big to another loss, we could have tied it with 3 instead of needing to go for it on 4th late. Achord needs to go in the offseason and focus on qb/wr/ot

And remember: divisional wins/losses count double, because they play twice.
