That's true, but if that guy shows he can play when he gets the opportunity, then suddenly he's worth more than the 1st rounder. Obviously, you saw it last year in San Francisco. I mean, it does occasionally happen. And they'll let the 4th round guy compete in camp and if he shows something, they'll elevate him. It's rare, but it happens. We've seen it here.Teams will still draft QBs in the first round over taking a 4th round backup and giving him a starting job.
