I usually just ignore your posts, but this is a special level of stupid.
4-time first team All-Pro, 4-time second team All-Pro, All-Pro at Corner and Safety. 'Banished'. He was one of the best players in the league for a decade.
I see MAC10 liked your post, which is not good company for accuracy.
Your fiction: "4-time first team All-Pro"
Fact: McCourt was never selected as a first team All-Pro, not once, 0 times
Your fiction: "4-time second team All-Pro"
Fact: 3-time second team All-Pro in 2010, 2013 and 2016 when the Associated Press apparently had a crack epidemic
Your fiction: "one of the best players in the league for a decade"
Fact: 3-time second team All-Pro and 2-time Pro Bowler in a 12-year career are not the credentials of one of the league's best players. He wasn't even the best at his position for a single season.
Just to give you some perspective...
Ed Reed:
12 seasons, 9-time Pro Bowler, 5-time first team All-Pro, 3-time second team All-Pro, 1-time defensive player of the year
Earl Thomas:
10 seasons, 7-time Pro Bowler, 3-time first team All-Pro, 2-time second team All-Pro
These two are players you could make that comment about. Your comment proves my original statement is correct... McCourty is overrated (especially when you make up a bunch of achievements to state your case).
Hasn’t done it since 2016
2017: NFL MVP, 8 TDs and 0 INTs in the postseason, 505 passing yards in the Super Bowl
2018: Super Bowl ring, Super Bowl game-winning drive, AFCCG game-winning drive in OT, 318 Y/G in postseason
2020: Super Bowl ring, Super Bowl MVP, 4-0 postseason, 10 TDs and 3 INTs in the postseason
2021: Led NFL with 5316 passing yards (3rd most all-time) and 43 TDs (at age 44), finished second in NLF MVP voting
2022: More accolades coming that will drive you further insane
In 2018, he did not do "a lot more with a lot less." His defense and running game carried him to the SB (like 2001), particularly late in the season.
Do you reference anything before you post? The defense gave up 28 points to the Chargers and 31 points (including 24 in the 4th quarter) to the Chiefs. The Patriots offense scored 78 points in those two games. Brady led a game-winning drive in the Super Bowl (making him a perfect 6 for 6 in that category for SB wins with the Patriots). Brady wasn't "carried" by anyone.
In 2020, he had the greatest set of weapons he's ever had in his career.
Were you not alive in 2007? Also you conveniently gloss over Brady's age in 2020 (when he was 43!).
5 playoff wins with a talented team. You and your fellow Bucs fans still don't get that the only reason Brady won in 2020 was because of the talent around him. The minute Godwin and Brown were no longer able to help him in 2021 he looked like a chump vs the Rams. He got outplayed by this guy...
Right, the team that was 7-9 the season prior, hadn't won a playoff game in 18 seasons, and had a losing record in 8 of their last 9 seasons "carried" the greatest player in the history of the league to a Super Bowl title.
You keep daydreaming about this fictional Timmy character you made up.
The team finished 2-4 because Brady played the worst football of his life.
Ok, you win. 2-4 because of Brady. He's responsible for everything. Dating back to September 23, 2001. 18 seasons, 17 division titles, 30 postseason wins, 6 Super Bowl championships... all because of Brady. No playoffs in 2008 and 2020, and getting waxed in the 2021 wild card round, also on Brady (because he wasn't there!).
