Do you know who the GM was at the time and that he tried to trade him the year before? If you run your ship like he does and everyone here says things like: it's business, a year too early and so on, you don't get any kind of leeway the other way.

Remember how he played that last year? Probably his worst "healthy" season. He was huffing and puffing and couldn't beat the other teams double teams as Pats WR1. He literally needed a year off after that.

The word on the street is that Watson is going to Atlanta and that if he was going to the Saints he would of done so already. This is bad for the Pats because Ryan will be available and I don't think they would trade him within the division to the Saints so he probably will end up with the Colts. Have to hope he goes to CLeveland where QBs go to die.

On the other hand Watson on the Falcons is a far lesser threat to Brady in the division.

That is true. I wonder if he will be suspended and for how long. If he were to go to the Saints and the NFL were to give him like 8 games I bet they wouldn't schedule Saints vs TB until after that because it's a marquee game for their ratings. If he goes to ATL it doesn't matter.

Gotta roll with Jones and hope he can become Cousins whom I think is underrated. The Colts will be a problem with Ryan though. The AFC is ridiculous this year.

I do like the move and believe they should try and sign another CB because they need to address the DL in the draft. I'm curious why you aren't high on whitehead? He's their best tackler and a force at the position. Edwards is a ball hawk but different types of players.

I like Whitehead. I simply think their run defense is stout whether he plays or not, and they need as many good pass defenders as they can get. They have an imbalanced defense that’s extremely good in one area and not so good in another.
