It's a built-in excuse for some fans.No one ever say there is a salary cap ever again.

Do you know who the GM was at the time and that he tried to trade him the year before? If you run your ship like he does and everyone here says things like: it's business, a year too early and so on, you don't get any kind of leeway the other way.I dislike the way that Gronk left the Pats hanging when he "retired"
Remember how he played that last year? Probably his worst "healthy" season. He was huffing and puffing and couldn't beat the other teams double teams as Pats WR1. He literally needed a year off after that.I dislike the way that Gronk left the Pats hanging when he "retired"
Gronk delayed his retirement until there were no FA TEs left. We played that next year without any TEs.Remember how he played that last year? Probably his worst "healthy" season. Gronk was being overused and asked to do too much in NE who was running him to the ground.
We saw that at times last year with the Bucs too when due to injuries, Gronk became the #1 or #2 target and didn't look very good. Gronk needs to be used smartly and be the 3rd or 4th option.
Excellent point that I hadn't thought about.Do you know who the GM was at the time and that he tried to trade him the year before? If you run your ship like he does and everyone here says things like: it's business, a year too early and so on, you don't get any kind of leeway the other way.
That’s just BS. Bill knew full well that Gronk was gonna retire. It’s just another excuse for Bill for not being able to have signed TEs that year. Like they couldn’t keep Brady because of the cap. It’s such BS.Gronk delayed his retirement until there were no FA TEs left. We played that next year without any TEs.
The word on the street is that Watson is going to Atlanta and that if he was going to the Saints he would of done so already. This is bad for the Pats because Ryan will be available and I don't think they would trade him within the division to the Saints so he probably will end up with the Colts. Have to hope he goes to CLeveland where QBs go to die.
That is true. I wonder if he will be suspended and for how long. If he were to go to the Saints and the NFL were to give him like 8 games I bet they wouldn't schedule Saints vs TB until after that because it's a marquee game for their ratings. If he goes to ATL it doesn't matter. On the other hand Watson on the Falcons is a far lesser threat to Brady in the division.
I'll take Ryan in a heartbeat if I were the Pats! The word on the street is that Watson is going to Atlanta and that if he was going to the Saints he would of done so already. Gotta roll with Jones and hope he can become Cousins whom I think is underrated. The Colts will be a problem with Ryan though. The AFC is ridiculous this year.I'll take Ryan in a heartbeat if I were the Pats!
You know something? You're right. That’s just BS. Bill knew full well that Gronk was gonna retire. It’s just another excuse for Bill for not being able to have signed TEs that year. Like they couldn’t keep Brady because of the cap. It’s such BS.
Logan Ryan is a fantastic pickup.
I do like the move and believe they should try and sign another CB because they need to address the DL in the draft. I'm curious why you aren't high on whitehead? He's their best tackler and a force at the position. Edwards is a ball hawk but different types of players.Perhaps the best move of the offseason for the Bucs. Exactly the type of smart cap move they needed…passing on Whitehead’s price and redundant skill set and getting a bargain on Ryan, who improves their terrible CB2 situation and adds versatility and depth as a safety option.
